First off, thanks for posting these images, gets me to notice things i wasn't aware of.
Secondly, captain marvel was amazing when he was Genis Vell and Waid was writing him. After that insane arch was over the character became stale, uninspired and straight up garbage. He was Sentry without the EMO and I really liked it. They messed up that character and I still have all them feels.

Wish it would actually go somewhere and be something. Out of my main three: Gambit is consistently interesting and goes places, Spider-Man... well clearly, but this? It started off with a time travel arc and now we're at another giant robot thing fight? Probably won't even be cool if the last one was any indication. Hopefully Avengers can give me a more interesting story with Danvers...

I recently read Andreyko's Manhunter series and got so mad when being dragged along with One Year Later destroyed any momentum the book had. I don't think Kate Spencer was even in an issue of 52.
At least it lead to a kitschy courtroom story...

Man I wonder what happened to Cassaday. His work on Astonishing X-Men was great, Planetary was amazing...
Uncanny Avengers on the other hand felt rushed and phoned in. He is far from the fastest ones, but with a bit of preparation he could handle a monthly for some time. Anyone remembers if Astonishing ran late? I really don't remember anything besides the hiatus between vol. 1 and 2. I would be OK with that kind of approach on UA.
A seriously doubt he signed for just 4 issues, Marvel was not comfortable with such a big book running late on the second issue. It's comprehensible. I hope everything was handled amicably, enough of behind doors bullshit like DC.
I'm conflicted on Acuna. While I like his art, I would never have thought of him for such a book, nor I think he is a good fit. This is his biggest chance yet, I hope he steps up his game.

Guarding the Globe is interesting. I'm not a fan of the Kirkman characters, but as it goes on they bring in more neat characters, and less of Kirkman's fetishistic old white haired guys.
Last two issues of Bloodstrike are next. Liefeld is taking over next month, so it's a good excuse to drop the book.

Avengers Arena got leaked. And 4chan is throwing a fit.
Some of the delay was partially due to Warren Ellis, if I remember right. Something along the lines of him being really sick coupled with his father passing away. I could be wrong though.
How FUCKING great would it be for Elijah Snow, Jakita Wagner, The Drummer and Ambrose Chase to just randomly pop up in the "New 52?"
As much as I'd love to see a Planetary guide show up in the Black Room or whatever, I wouldn't feel great about anyone else writing those characters.

No it won't. The JL film is going to be lead into by the Superman movie, and is going to introduce a rebooted Batman that has nothing to do with Nolan's universe Batman.
Pandora and Phantom Stranger make an appearance, and hint that the war of the three is coming. At the end of Flashpoint which was Pandora's first appearance doesn't she make a comment about combining the 3? Are they already setting up a major event, possibly changing the NU52 already?

I've been away due to finals this week so I don't really know what you guys have been up to. If this topic has already been past, sorry for bringing it up again, but I just got my hands on Avengers Arena and Cable and X-force early. I have yet to read Cable but I did read Arena. Some of you are going to bitch at the events in the first issue (specifically the last panel) because as comic book fans, that seems to be what we are best at. If you are one of those intense nay sayers about this book than you are going to hate what you see regardless of how good or bad it is because that is what you are mentally prepared to do. Your jerk reaction is that this is the worst book ever. Go back to it after you are done foaming at the mouth because there actually are a lot of interesting developments here both for the character and for comic book traditions. I really can't not say more past that without giving things away.
Also if you are one of those fuckers who claim this book is "mean-spirited" because it's killing off your favorites and you are so self entitled to believe that Marvel had this book made specifically to upset you, I might actually pay someone to kill you and your family.
Shocking. And no, not 4chan. A collective number of like minded circle jerkers are throwing a fit. Which is also news, of course.
