I really hope they plan well and do a good job with setting up Darkseid.

It's so damn easy - have some Intergang activity, Godfrey as a news anchor, Granny Goodness. It just has to happen!

He will probably demand it.

I mean after seeing this. He ran to his closet and came back into the room like this.

I expect to leave the theater thinking, "yea you know that alien army The Avengers struggled with at the end of that movie? Superman would have ended that shit in seconds."

That's what I need. Flashes of abilities and strength that leaves one able to sense overwhelming potential. A tip of the bigass iceberg worthy of the most overpowered hero ever created. :D

What's awesome about this is that it would totally raise the stakes for JL. How do you introduce a threat so big even Superman is like, "Fuck! I better call my boys."

So how is Clark supposed to respond if a bunch of kids at school call him an Angel? Would the government be accepting to a kid with godlike powers?

I don't have a problem with Kent wanting Clark to be careful it's just you can teach Clark that without saying 'you should think about letting people die next time, you've got self preservation to think about...'

I'm joking about that though, it's likely the case that the trailer is just selectively cut to arouse this kind of talk. I know Johnathan would have a lot more to say than just 'maybe' and then walk off.

You know, I'd love to see a Superman movie where kryptonite is never used. If the villain can take a hit and dish them out, it shouldn't be necessary, and will likely only cheapen the ending with a crappy deus ex machina plot device.

Smallville made me come to hate Kryptonite, it just annoys me now. Superman is my favorite comic book character but I do wish he had more vulnerabilities or limits to make things more interesting.

I know he's vulnerable to magic which makes me want Mr. Mxyzptlk as a villain. And getting a director who likes surreal shit like Aronofsky would be awesome with that kind of villain.

who do people in Bermejo drawings look like they're made out of origami

He's going for a really detailed look, but yeah, he overdoes it. Though you could probably blame the colorist just as much (unless he colors his own stuff? I dunno).

Also, I will die in my seat if we get a scene like this at the end:

Superman saves Metropolis and takes to the skies, just as the clouds part and we see a ray of light hit the tallest building in Downtown...

No, not the Daily Planet...

LexCorp. Lex Luthor looks outside his floor-to-ceiling windows with disdain and disgust. He motions to his oafish, clumsy assistant.

Luthor: Get me my coat, Otis. We're going out.
Otis: Where to, Mistah Lutha?
Luthor: The lab.

Otis scurries away. He returns with an oversized chinchilla coat. It's ridiculous.

Luthor: No... The OTHER coat, Otis...
Otis: The other coat, Mistah Lutha?
Luthor: The LAB coat, Otis.

END SCENE.

I just really need more Otis on film.

yeah, there are better and more creative ways to hurt superman then the lazy piece of crap the writers fall back on.

Krptonite is important to a certain extent but I hate how it's been turning up lately.

Kryptonite is as easy to find as a penny on the ground.

Watchmen is in my top 10 favorite movies. Not going to say it belongs to the top 10 best films crafter of all time. But i just fucking love it and its style.

Dont care about Superman at all, actually even some sort of dislike. A man in a red and blue cape that shoots lasers and shit?

But i will watch this and i am pretty sure it will be awesome.

Kryptonite is as easy to find as a peeny on the ground.

IMO the most interesting thing behind Kryptonite is that Batman stores it away for safe measures.

I think it would be fine as long as its not way too abundant. If it's some extremely rare and hard to come by mineral then I don't have a problem with it.

What would people think an appropriate "nick fury" type cameo would be in this, if any? Future Bruce Wayne? Ryan Reynolds? WB need to get the ball rolling if they're going to steal some of Marvels thunder

All those peenys laying around. The horror.

The closest thing the Justice League has to a consistent creator/member is The Martian Manhunter, but he's too strange-looking for a two-minute cameo. Maybe he'll use the Fortress to zero in on metahuman activity to locate Zod, and then, in the post-credits scene, the computer will beep and say, "New metahumans located! Activity found in Central City, Coast City, etc." And Clark says, "Let's start with Central" or something.

One of the scripts ended with a stinger scene.
[Darksied]
It seemed pretty similar to the Thanos scene in Avengers though and I believe it has been replaced with
Lex's introduction and a cryptic hint at another, Brainiac.

Martian Manhunter since he's formidable against Superman and if there had to be a showdown to convince Superman to join that would provide an awesome fight.

After credits scene of Superman flying over a city. We hear a voiceover of him on the phone, telling Ma he's going to meet a friend. Scene ends with Supes flying toward the Bat signal.

That's how I would do it. The meeting between Bats and Supes is the main thing that the general public will be looking forward to. This would let WB hint at it without firing the actual bullet or introducing a new character.

Other than the absurdity in this gif: I love how these two movies have a similar look - can't wait for a big JL movie.

Trailer looked pretty good - and lmao at those overreactions :lol

Well it's not really absurd when you think about it. Clark just got his shit kicked in by The Goddamm Batman.
