Yeah, you're right. You can see a little blood puddle too.
Let's watch Superman puke blood.

Yes, it has come to this.

My wishes for Justice League based on my impressions of this trailer... LISTEN UP WARNER.

It should carry on Snyder's serious impression of Nolan's tone, aesthetic, and overall sensibilities. Including and very importantly, SHOT ON FILM INSTEAD OF DIGITAL/3D. This will help to highly differentiate it's look from MarvelCU movies (which I still appreciate the look of in their own way). Bradley Cooper would do a fine job as The Flash, but don't bring back Reynolds just because he's "established"... in fact Lantern should be John Stewart instead of Hal Jordan just to distance it as much from 2011's incarnation as much as possible. Lastly, don't let David Yates direct it just because he proved that he can handle a budget... I'd much rather have someone like Matt Reeves.

An exec just read your post, farted and then went to go do a line off a urinal. I don't know what to make of that but it's something!

First time seeing the trailer just now.

What is up with them changing Pa Kent's character? He's a pessimist and tells Clark maybe he shouldn't have saved those people? And that quote at the end?

The fuck? This isn't Superman.

They're establishing kent as the villain.

Man the line delivery in the final line from Superman is so wack.

I wasn't a big fan of some of the corny shit Bruce Wayne said in the Batman trilogy. But there was much more gravitas to it coming from Bale.

edit: but then he is the best child actor of all time. I haven't seen anything from Cavill that's impressed me yet.

To be fair the "perfect male role model/father figure" in some of the hero origin stories are rather boring. Would be nice to see Clark struggle with that idea on his own rather than be spoon-fed his destiny.

Clark's gonna get the belt for saving those kids.

looks like poop. shoulda got kevin bacon for supes. i hope superman overcomes his victimized purity of character to save the world again. slow-mo capes.

I'm not well versed on child actors but you better not say Haley Joel Osment breh. (although AI was amazing and Sixth Sense was pretty good)

Yet Haley Joel Osment in AI destroys Bale and pretty much every other child actor this side of Henry Thomas. He probably even trumps Henry Thomas.

Amazing since they're all under the direction of Spielberg.

It's one of the defining things about Clark's upbringing and the Kent Family. If any superhero shouldn't have this changed, it is Superman.

Plus he technically has two dads.

Returns may not have been action packed (I still don't understand the demand to see Superman smash through things), but he still had that a presence to him in the film. The scene where he changes in the elevator, for example, or when he appears at the roof of the Daily Planet blowing out the cigarette. Singer evoked the mythic power and romanticism of Superman just by how he panned the camera around him. I dont think we've seen any other comic book adaptation achieve that yet

It was borrowed charm and technique that was done with more sincerity by Donner and Reeves. Any director that admits to adding a super baby element to a Superman movie because he was trying to attract the 'Devil Wears Prada crowd' is making a movie destined for failure.
