jesus christ

i never thought another US massacre could greatly shock me but this is horrifying

you need to take a long hard look at your gun regulation, this type of shit should not be a yearly thing

Honestly it would probably be good if the world ended on the 21st, we are such a fucked up species we don't deserve to be here.

My wife is an elementary teacher. Hits even harder just for that fact. Just fucking sickening.
This is truly horrible, and you have my sympathies.

Killing everyone else on the planet just because someone did something horrible seems uncalled for.

Fox are reporting a man was found in the woods wearing camouflage pants, and when the police saw him, he turned to them saying "I didn't do it. I didn't do it"

Witnesses also said he was handcuffed and as he was walking to the police car he looked at some parents in the eyes and said he didn't do it

Keeping updates on this at the office, don't have any kids but I am young enough where just thinking about how scarred some of these kids will be is depressing, not the least to mention all those killed for seemingly no reason. I really hope this incident allows some dialogue at the national level about the nature of gun crimes and what we can do collectively as a society to make them less frequent even if only a little, no one should have to go through something like this :(.

All those kids and families, excited for Christmas and Santa, about to go on break with their families. Dead. I can't stop thinking about that.
I hope the shooter rots in a special place in hell. Fuck this fucking piece of shit.

From one of my FB friends: "Another tragically sad story of why you should be allowed to carry on school campuses."

Unreal, just unreal. I'm sure a class full of 6-10 year olds with guns could've stopped him. I don't even feel like talking about the political aspect of this story right now, but that comment just set me off.

Just talked to my wife, she's a teacher, and we have two small kids (2 year old and a six month old). Obviously this isn't affecting us directly, but she's taking it hard. I'm just glad I'm at home with my kids right now.

Fucking gun laws this and gun laws that. Fact is people shouldn't be allowed to buy guns in the first place. The right to bear arms my arse.

Horrific this. Innocent children gunned down a few weeks before Christmas.

I don't care. I hate when people take horrific tragedies and turn them into an attack on the country. Maybe gun policy had something to do with it, maybe not. Today who gives a shit. People are dead, and if you can't grasp the importance of that, then what good are you.

Disgusting.... We need some major intervention in this country on the subject of our mental health and too-accessible weapons.

This is just incredibly sad. There are no words for just how incredibly screwed up this situation is today. I'm speechless to be honest.

And some of you in here need to cool it down, there is no reason for personal attacks and use this tragedy as some freaking soapbox to attack other people. Come on guys.

I think we should reign back from hysterics ("I'm throwing up", "the whole human race is sick") and get some perspective. It is one country's domestic incident. Do you get this choked up when children die in NATO airstrikes? The motives are less reprehensible but are their lives any less valuable?

Witnesses also said he was handcuffed and as he was walking to the police car he looked at some parents in the eyes and said he didn't do it

If he didn't do it my question is what in the hell was he doing in the woods outside of a school wearing camo? He's either lying, extremely unlucky, or a creepy kid watcher.
