We're not using made up scenarios. We're simply discussing the question of whether we are going to be simple-minded enough to believe that someone who can and desires to kill a dozen kids would simply cancel his massacre plans because he can't buy his gun over the counter. Point being, there are many, many ways to get a gun in the US illegally. It's pretty easy, actually. That's the problem, and adding certain rules and regulations will only result in those alternative acquisition options becoming more popular.

I'm not going to argue, but if they truly were not in the right state of mind and were in the state of sorrow, they wouldn't have put their kids on tv. Just saying.

If my kid just experienced a massacre I'd instinctively want to keep them close and keep them away from the world, meaning I wouldn't put them on national TV. But I'm no parent and I've never experienced a massacre.

How is that impossible though? I laugh when people say that or metal detectors. If someone walked up to the school with that gun what are you going to do? Say "oh I see it. Nice try" and they turn around and go home. Someone said principal was dead so it's possible. But he's we should at least wait for the report on the fun used.
