No Man's Land: The Novelization >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> No Man's Land: The Comic Event.

Granted I just started reading it this week and am only about one-third of the way through, but OH MY GOD this streamlined narrative by Rucka is so much better than the bloated, unwieldy beast that is the collected GNs.

I've been preaching this for YEARS, Spike

It's monumentally better.

No kindle version come on bush league dc

Demon Knights #14 was okay, the ending premise was the most interesting thing so i'm looking forward to #15, which is Cornell's last issue too. Can't decide if i should drop this book off my list with issue #17, X-Bendis is taking my dc money.

At the end of Flashpoint, Pandora makes her first appearance and gives us some info. She basically says that the history of heroes was shattered into 3 timelines to make them weak for somethings pending arrival, and with the help of Barry Allen she was going to combine them into one again. The 3 timelines shown in that splash page are basically the old DCU, the New DCU, and the Wildstorm universe. Then Pandora went ahead and appeared in every number 1 issue of the new 52. Then she's appeared here and there in Phantom Stranger and backup stories in Justice League.

Well at the end of JLD #14 Phantom Stranger shows up and is basically like forget everything you're doing something insane is about to go down. He basically says "War is coming among the three," and then tells Constantine it's time he picked a side. In the last panel we also get a shot of Pandora watching over Phantom Stranger talking to Constantine. A few pages earlier there's also a spash page showing some of Constantine's notes on current DC heroes and such. One of the notes says "Need to find Booster Gold he has to know." then the rest is cut off.

If you remember after Flashpoint Booster, or at least a version of Booster was the only person who fully remembered the original DCU, he makes mention of this in like the last Flashpoint cross over book he appears in. The Booster of the Nu52 at the end of the JLI Annual is confronted by another version of himself wearing a Uniting Super Humans Advanced Research Group badge, talking about Rip Hunter and saying they need to stop Superman and Wonder Woman. The way he talks it sounds like Rip Hunter is trying to stop him and that he didn't have enough time. That's when he sees an image of Superman and Wonder Woman kissing and he blinks out of existence.

I say all of that is interconnected some how.

Maybe I'm over thinking things and the 3 coming to war are just going to be 3 factions in the DCU, or some shit like that, and not 3 timelines/universes/whatthefuckever.

I think you're just over thinking it to be honest. Based on what we've seen so far and then the splash page in the FCBD issue from May, my guess is that each of the League's is going to end up associated with one of the Trinity of Sin and will battle it out to stop/help Pandora from reopening the box.

For real. I'm 100% digital and will gladly split the cost ($2 a pop) with someone buying the books who doesn't want the digital copies.

Marvel only includes those in the $3.99 stuff, right? Out of those I'm interested in:

All New X-Men
Avengers
Cable and the X-Force
Captain America
Indestructible Hulk
Superior Spider-Man (if it's a $3.99 book)
Thor: God of Thunder
Uncanny Avengers

Birdie or anyone else interested, shoot me a PM and let's do this!

So I just stumbled upon my Blade of the Immortal comics (a manga series translated and published by Dark Horse), and after doing a little reading online, it looks like the series is still being published to this day.

Does anyone still read it? I think I read the first 50-60 issues (9-10 trades?). Is the quality consistent past that point?

Of course it is.

Just got this today and she's a beaut!! Can't wait for Vol. 2 in May

Also, Batman & Robin was fantastic. Gleason drew some terrifying scenes and Tomasi wrote the hell out of Joker.

.

I really do want to read Batman and Robin. I want to read all of Morrison's Batman stuff first though, I really don't know who Damian is as a character. Have not read enough of him.

Tizoc, definitely jump on those D&D comics. I think they're great, I just read them a few days ago to help prep myself for a 3.5 campaign I'm starting tomorrow.

I've read them via Comixology but want the books. Sadly I don't live in US and I need to use amarex to have shipped to mi country. Last time I had books shipped I had to pay an extra $50 to amarex as shipping charges lol.
...but they are indeed fantastic, and am really looking forward to them continuing the series.

I worship the main IDW Dungeons & Dragons series too. Believe it or not, give Dynamite's Pathfinder series by Jim Zub of Skullkickers fame a try. Same feel of the D&D series, and so fun.

Oh and if you haven't done it, RUN do not walk and grab the entire Skulkickers series. You will not regret it.

Are we sure supermanisdead is not OMG RITE's new account?

Who's the chick on the left? Please don't say Jubilee.

Back when she was all like WOOOOLVIIIEE!!!

A second rate Kitty Pryde that dressed like Batman's stupid sidekick, and had Dazzler's power set. Such a lame character.

man generation x was so awesome

at least for the 15 or so issues that lobdell and bachelo did together

generation next also great

I was looking forward to Generation X after enjoying Bachalo's run on Shade; but it was about that time I started to lose interest in his work. :\

Still considering you're getting the books lower than the MSRP on amazon it beats having to buy it from some of our local stores, provided you buy small volumes instead of an omnibus or hardcover.

I'll make sure to read Pathfinder by this weekend, as I want to focus on my gaming backlog this week XO.
Will def. check out SKullkickers though as it's on my to read list for a while now \m/

BTW, have you read Smallville? It's perhaps the best Superman book atm along with Action Comics, and they just introduced
Batman...with an issue just showcasing why everyone wants a friggin' Batmobile

Yeah, Smallville's fun for sure.

BTW, Skullkickers has a couple of collections available. Also, in a weird, but intriguing move, Zub's taken over Birds of Prey for DC.
