wipeout is so damn good, but you already know this. im using the racer control configuration. it's been over 3 weeks and i still haven't opened VLR....too many games atm.

Mind if I jump on?
Christmas US PSN gifting:
1. Toma
2. The Grim Heaper
3. Jamix012
4. QP3
5. BlueMaxima

Vita Games I DON'T own (trust me, it's easier):

FIFA Soccer 13 (although I already own FIFA Soccer physically so I dunno if this counts)
MLB 12 The Show
Madden NFL 13
All the LEGO games

There's a bunch of games I'd like to have digitally instead of physically but that's just being greedy.

I have way too many PSP games to list but also too many games to list that I don't own from GS...same with PSone.

Its a really well made and charming patformer, but yeah its not goty material by any stretch of the imagination if someone led you to believe that.

Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. It's well made and pretty and whatnot, but earlier threads led me to believe it was must-have. I no longer believe that. :P

I'll add you to the list.
Mind if I ask you about a few specific titles via PM that a potential Santa could gift you? Just so that YOUR santa has a few... suggestions at least :p

No, no. I absolutely get what you're saying :) "Must have" is a strong word, but yeah its not an essential gaming experience.

I had heard that Stranger's Wrath for Vita is 30fps, and that is true, but I just saw a tweet from the CEO of JAW (who develops these Oddworld games now) and he said that it's 30, sometimes 45, and down to 20 at one spot near the end. So I'm actually really happy that it's sometimes at 45, and I'm surprised/respect that he even mentioned that there's a spot that's below par. Although, it's just that, one spot.

The Vita is one year old today in Japan. I just realized I've plate games almost exclusively in it the whole time. I never even finished Ni no Kuni after it arrived!

man..time run fast.

but I only got mine with Gravity Rush release (yes it was a system seller for me and it was so worth it)

Ni no Kuni demo was freaking bad, so it's not because Vita games but it's because of Awful-5 being a horrible devs as usual.

that not good :(

btw thanks Toma (and anyone else) for facilitating this. It's a great idea.

Also, seeing as I haven't actually played any vita games yet, I very well might pm you for game opinions/thoughts :P

Feel free to ask here in this thread about anything. Any game you want an opinion on?

Not yet, I will most likely wait to see what games the person I am buying for likes/dislikes, and go from there. Thanks!

Ah yeah, if you want opinions on a game to gift, feel free to PM me later once you know whom you are gifting to.

I think it's because sony's content manager is shit.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=34863755&postcount=2

^ since it's not listed by manually by Sony it wont show up on the content manager even when it actually work.

I'd say get a wifi connection and download it directly to your Vita.
Thanks for that, but there's a problem with that option, too. Midnight Carnival isn't on the Vita store, either... :(

If they do turn on Vita compatibility, will I need to redownload the game when they do, or can I just leave the bubble on my PS3 until then?

Thank you anyway. I appreciate your response :)

lol I knew you'd latch onto that Toto. One spot. Most games will have small spots of framerate drops. Why would you not comment on the fact that it's sometimes (re: more than once) 45fps, instead of commenting on the one place that it's 20-25fps? Oh, and the first review said that he thought it looked better on Vita than the PS3 version (because of the crispness of the image).

Wow, P4G is just incredible. Exactly the type of experience I wanted when I saw Vita for the first time.

Until now, there have been lots of games I've sunk a few hours into, but this is the first that has really grabbed me and not let go - almost 70 hours in and loving it more than ever.

2013 looks to be bringing more of these types of experiences - DOA5+ and PSO2 alone will consume hundreds of hours of my life, and I am terrified/excited.

Haven't felt this way since experiencing FFT for the first time on PSP or playing through Aralon on iPhone. I've finally seen the true potential of Vita.

P.S. Why (unless your only interest is playing list wars) are ports seen as a negative? For me, most of Vita's appeal is being able to tether myself away from the hulking, energy bill maniac in my living room. And without them, there would be massive gaps in its (and most consoles') library.

Agreed.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 version got a bit laggy during the final boss fight.

it's on the Vita store (psp section, 190MB)

that for the Vita US store tho..not sure if you are talking about another region.

as for CM whey they update compatibility list for it stuff it's just for the program side so most likely you don't have to re download.

well locked 30 fps framerate > higher -sometimes- but with huge/many dips.

good news.

every one should buy P4G.

I don't see ports as negative for Vita or any system, they mean more games and more options for gamers to play new or older games on the platform they want.

You living in the US? My big plus for the US are exchange rates. Buying a game on launch in Germany will always cost me 20% more than in the US, making it a rather huge saving for me. Pretty glad with my US decision.

Yeah, I'm living in the US and I'd pay the markup on the exchange rate to GBP/Euros for the discounts and such.

PSX titles are .iso dumps made into the eboot.pbp format. Anything that was problems (load times/glitches) in the original release are still present here.

Would they use the newest available master as well? sometimes in the platinum/greatest hits releases the bugs that had been found in the original games would have been fixed

I'm in Australia, so this may be one of the few times that the US compatibility trumps the EU one :)

Thank you for your answers.

speaking of wallpapers, where do you guys get yours? or do you just make your own?

I made mine, if by "made" you mean "chopped it down to size". I've got Gravity Rush on lock screen, two Tomb Raiders, and a Journey pic for pages. I also have an Enslaved one I like but I'm not using it atm.

Ooo, I want to see this tweet.
EDIT: Nvm, found it with my Google-Fu.

I certainly don't disagree. A nice balance is needed, but I believe the Vita has exactly that.

Good news indeed. Adding another game to my must purchase list.

quite generous and I tried to snag it, but I am getting "the code you entered may not be correct or may be invalid, please check that you entered it correctly. (c2-13930-6)"
which i checked and I entered it correctly so I am gonna assume someone took it and hasn't said anything yet. Thanks for being generous in general though.

Bummer. Well, if you send me a PM I will send you a code for one month PS+ on the US Store.

And here are two codes for one month each of PS+. US credit card needed to redeem (you can of course remove your credit card info afterwards, if not, don't forget to cancel the automatic re-sub). Should be stackable on top of existing PS+. Quote to reveal

(These came all with my Black Friday AC:L Vita bundle).

I grabbed your second 1 month trial code (D*), thanks man :)

---I promised I'd play Uncharted and Gravity Rush once I was a PS+ member again and so I shall. Downloading 'em now :P
