Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

phew i thought you were gonna say something naughty

But I am also excited! I need to play some more Persona before I make the switch to my JPN account.

Oh, all I have to do is give you my Paypal e-mail? That's... much easier than I thought!

I hate switching accounts. Always make sure I finish the game I'm currently playing beforehand. Multiple accounts (or even limited to 3 max) would be my most wanted update by some distance.

And I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to send someone money via Paypal when I first found out. I was expecting alot more hassle!

EDIT: Top of page again? That's two in a row! But I can't recommend the same games...

Get Trails in the Sky, Ys Oath in Felghana and Ys Seven. And for PS1 get Chrono Cross, Xenogears and Grandia

im happy with a sale on 40 ps3+vita games for 3 weeks...

lets get real, its not like vita can keep supporting amazing ps+ sales and freebies.. they have to make them last throughout the years.

it has a decent library yes...but it doesnt have a HUGE one where they can afford to put out 40 vita games on sale

also what are the odds the vita library doubles next year?? or will it only go up by 50% you think?
We need to be as pessimistic as possible but 2013 has a lot of games for the VITA some of which don't even have a western release date.

I just want around 1 free game a month which is what they give ps3. There are more than enough decent games on Vita already to support that plan and that's not even including games that are still going to come out.

Really horrible review for Sonic Racing

This is bad

(to be fair however I'm not sure if it's just IGN trashing Vita games/port as always or the port is really that bad..one can't trust the like of IGN these days especially for handhelds).

Man I thought it would be a 4/10 or something from the quotes you cherry picked. It still got a 7. We already know what the game looks like, and yes its certainly downgraded. But its not a bad looking game. Even if the same assets are used in the 3ds version (which we don't know) it will still look better on Vita with the higher resolution and vastly better screen quality.

yeah, i think they can hold to that. especially is most of the games are 1st/2nd party getting released.

cant wait for vita 2013. have so much to do on it already. cant lag behind.

do people suggest hot shots for vita or wait for the ps3 release? there was news that ps3 was getting a release right? im not crazy?

Toto is so hilarious.

Really horrible review = 7/10.

XD

If I've never played Ninja Gaiden before, is Sigma the best way to play it?

Overall Ninja Gaiden Black(XB1) is the best, the most balanced and well made/rounded game, play it over any other version of NG1,unless you want easier and more new comers friendly NG then Sigma 1 on PS3 if for you.

As for NG2, Both Vanilla NG2 and NG Sigma2 got their flaws and advantages really.Vanilla NG2 have major framerate issues, it also depend more on the offense unlike NG1, in Sigma2 Hayabusa is slower more like NG1 in Sigma2 than NG2, better framerate but it dismemberment and lack blood and add extra characters (which you might like or dislike)

Shame the series is just NG1 and NG2 and their other versions, hope they make NG3 sometimes in the future.

Another IGN review that doesn't review based on the platform it's developed on. I would be shocked that the 3DS version is anywhere close in visual fidelity to the Vita. No crap it performs worse than the console versions. The comparison to Mario Kart 7 I get but is it that much worse looking? From the videos, I would say no but then again .. I don't have both games.

NGB is the best version. Sigma has the best graphics, but the new content is poor and half-assed.
Is Sigma basically Black?

Gamestop has the digital version Lumines for $30. I am holding out hope that PSN has a sale on it for the holidays along with P3P, I missed the last sale just before black friday.

No,and it's actually a complete "remake" made on a different engine.(Sigma is what Hayashi team made of the originals, it got new weapons, extra playable characters and different a lot of stuff)
All I need to know now is if Itagaki hates it, lol.

Well, Toma, we're getting a holiday sale, but it's not very good, IMO... might pick up Rayman Vita (again), but that's about it:

Catherine (Sale: $27.99, PS Plus: $19.60, Regular: $39.99)
Counter Strike Global Offensive (Sale: $10.49, PS Plus: $7.35, Regular: $14.99)

Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition (Sale: $10.49, PS Plus: $7.35, Regular: $14.99)

A huge total of 3 Vita compatible titles in the list there. LOL
The price on LBP:Vita isn't bad if you want it, but I can't see paying $18 for it digitally as a PS+ member.

And here's today's PS+:
Anomaly Warzone Earth!

We are so lucky to have SCEA take care of us like this!

Yeah, I glossed over LBP when I saw LBP2, they kind of blurred together as I skimmed down the list. Fixed my original post, that's actually the best price for anything in the sale.

Gamestop has the digital version Lumines for $30. I am holding out hope that PSN has a sale on it for the holidays along with P3P, I missed the last sale just before black friday.

I don't know, it's possible, but I wouldn't hold out hope. P3P was Atlus's sale. Lumines... well, we're seeing a discount on another Ubi game this week, but I don't know that you'll see it *A LOT* cheaper than $30... Then again, LBP Vita is <$20, so maybe.

I would totally get those 3 Vita games but I think it's stupid as hell to have this right before christmas. I can afford to spend $40 after that but I'm tapped out through black friday/xmas shopping for myself and family.

For anyone on the fence about buying those at discount prices but having to deal with the fact they may come to plus eventually, they won't be, at least not in the near future (LBPV or RO, at least):

Loved Lego Star Wars II on PSP.

Can anyone recommend any of the PSN Lego games for PSV?: Batman 2? Lord of the Rings? Harry Potter? How about the PSP games compatible for PSV?

Honestly, I heard that most if not all of the above were crap and/or DS/3DS ports... anyone want to tell me a different story and give a decent recommendation?

Toto... ):

But no, that isn't good. AmiAmi has it for 4,450 JPY right now, and that comes to a little over $50. I don't know how much they'll charge for shipping, but EMS could be 1200 JPY, which is about $14. So you'd be saving a bunch of money just getting it from Amiami.

Yeah, it was so much easier before Sony had to go and fuck it up with a firmware update. gg Sony At least I have some games on my JPN account with I got for free/paid for.

holiday sale snip
That's for this week, there's more stuff on sale next week and the week after.

OMG yes escape plan and Rayman for me. Been waiting for both games to be on sale. Timing could not be better getting 16 or 32 gig card from best buy this week thank 20% off plus rewards zone certs.

No Vita games for plus again?

not this week, we will for sure at least get one in the next two December updates... I would suspect that we will get a vita game for the next two weeks though.

edit: for the record when I say vita game, i mean game playable on the vita, this could include ps1, psp, and ps minis

Great sales this week! And, yes, people have to remember that the following 2 weeks will have different games on sale, so there will be vita stuff in those. I am definitely getting Catherine. people should definitely get LBPVita. It is an amazing game. If it's on sale with PS+, doesn't that mean it won't have the chance of being a freebie for a while?

Those sales look great, I am most likely getting Rayman and LBP. Probably Catherine for PS3 as well and there are still two more weeks to go. I guess I am just going to spend all my money between now and the end of the year.

EDIT: Really hoping for MGS and Katamari to go on sale. I have been so tempted to buy those recently when physical copies have been on sale but I am holding out for DD.

they shouldn't be freebees for a few months. LBPv would be a good candidate for an E3 update.

BTW stay away from Big Sky Infinity - it's bland and boring - not as bad as Chronovolt but i'd be really pissed if i paid for it instead of getting free version from PSN+.

Hey my Vita Bro's!
Get over to the FREE Stuff thread right now for a chance at some Steam goodies, not Vita, but I wanted to heads up my kinsmen! Its not much, but hey, if you complain, I will start supporting Totobeni.

In Gravity Rush, do you get a chance to revisit inside the central pillar? The first time you visit it, you don't have your gravity powers, you're falling down, and there are tons of gems. I thought I was going to have to land at the bottom and make my way up, so I didn't bother trying for the gems since I thought I'd be climbing up. I want those gems!

I've searched everywhere and tried jumping everywhere, but I'd get teleported back before I could reach the land masses leading to the central pillar. :(

I'd say it's more relaxing then boring, but different strokes, ect.
I didnt like it at first, but the more I play it the more I'm feeling confident that it was (just barely) worth the $10.

Though I could just be convincing myself of that to avoid buyers remorse, but whatever.
