I don't understand any of you people

Did you know I absolutely adored the touch screen stuff in this game. It felt so immersive when rubbing charcoal, and when cleaning helmets and stuff, it was like I was holding it my hands. Isn't that amazing? And when dragging the touch screen down on difficult jumps, it was as if I was pulling myself up! When balancing on logs I liked to get up and balance on one leg since it felt so surreal. And I love jigsaw puzzles! Dragging and twirling bits of paper is so awesome. Sometimes when playing games and it gets too dark, I always wished I could shine a light in at the screen to make it light up. It works! Maybe it's magic. And the boss fights are the best I've ever played in any game ever. It was awesome feeling like I was actually there in the game controlling my character in a way that's never been possible. So much excitement everywhere, playing a game like this just felt so natural. I would absolutely love it if they did the same in the sequel. Just love it.

If this was indeed sarcasm, then bravo

Best of luck to you Toma, that royally sucks. Hopefully you find something soon <3

But hey at least you got ZHP, right? RIGHT?!

I don't think I've ever seen anybody remotely that into it. Some of us like it, but we don't think it's incredible or anything.

I think he was being sarcastic, lol.

Thanks, and..

I am about to meet Demon General, Darkdeath Evilman! ;)

I really want to believe it's not irony
but I can't...

I saw one person ask for impressions of Knytt Underground but it doesn't seem anyone's played it yet? Just asking for some as well. I played the Knytt games on PC (and the other games the same person made) so I'm curious how Knytt Underground is. I would have snapped it up for $10 but at $15 it makes me balance it against other game considerations (mainly Tokyo Jungle and The Unfinished Swan, both I'm holding off to see if they get discounted during Christmas sales).

Anyhow, just wanting some Knytt Underground impressions from anyone that's tried it.

Just picked up Dokuro and Escape Plan and have them downloading. Looking forward to finally trying those later tonight.

Is the Sound Shapes demo download broken for anybody else? The first time I downloaded it it failed to install after it was finished, so now I'm monitoring the download, and it keeps crapping out at around 400 MB. Are they still uploading it to the servers or something?

I was thinking about getting it, but then I saw it was $15. That's above impulse buy territory for me, so I'm holding off for the time being.

All these extra months of dev time and they couldn't even cook up a demo for Stranger's Wrath?

$15 is a lot to cough up when similarly meaty last-gen ports like Bard's Tale and GTA3/VC are $5 or less on iOS.

omg omg omg omg omg

300 minutes left :(

omg omg omg omg omg

I give my ISP 300 out of 300 totos.

Poor guy :( It's very fun. You won't be disappointed. By any chance have you tried hitting pause and then resume? It probably won't do anything, but for some reason I did it on both Rayman Origins and Stranger's Wrath when they were going really slow and then they started flying.

I tried that, and it jumped to 14,000 minutes left. Then I did it again and now it's 223 minutes left.

So I dunno.

Just to let you all know that I really like the Uncharted series. Top 5 new franchises this gen for me, with Uncharted 2 in particular being one of the best games I've played this gen, being only behind Deus Ex Human Revolution (no sarcasm at all). If they make a sequel to Golden Abyss and it continues the trend of touch screen stuff, I'll get it day one
when it hit's PS+. There's no way in hell I'm ever going to buy a game that shoehornes utterly pointless touch screen shite that ruins games ever again. I can forgive it once, but not twice. Whoever came up with the stuff that ruined Uncharted should be shot

Climbing/charcoal rubbings/artefacts are fine, but boss fights = nope.

Aaaand now the download finished successfully but I got the same error as before when it tried to install. Shit Sony, get it together!

To be honest I've actually warmed up to the melee swiping. It's still kind of annoying, but I don't mind touch gimmicks if used in tense situations. When there's actually pressure to do it correctly rather than boring minigame busywork, I can accept it as a mechanic rather than a forced gimmick.

Not my favourite mechanic, but it's acceptable.

The fact that Sony put up a broken Sound Shapes demo on their store isn't exactly inspiring confidence in me that the system update won't cock up as well and turn my Vita into a brick, but here goes anyway.

It's the opening door stuff and boosting people that really grates me. Really - this is how far you're pushing an interactive medium?

Don't mind the charcoal stuff so much. I'm only halfway through myself, though. Don't recall any swiping melee mechanics.

oh god... *braces self*

edit: lord have mercy, I just had to do an artefact cleaning minigame. That makes the charcoal rubbing seem entertaining by comparison.

Like I said before, take solace in the fact that you never have to repeat the minigames you've already completed. Once and done.

And now after installing the update it won't let me use the PSN Store even though my internet connection still works. WTF Sony?!?!?!

NVM, seems to be working now.

Installed the update as well and I can access the store fine.

And impressively, it only took 15 seconds from pressing "Continue" on the main menu to being back in-game.

Was playing Alundra for about an hour and a half, didn't save once, went into a dungeon thinking I was a BAMF and died. Learned the hard way that older games don't have checkpoints..... It's been awhile :\

New PS Plus games should be going live in Japan today. Focus on should be. There's still no announcement, and the Plus page hasn't changed. I really hope they give out something new today.

And speaking of memory card space hogs, I need to delete a few things before my trip today. I haven't touched Monster Hunter, so I think that needs to go, and if only the trophy requirements on Monster Radar weren't so insane, that would be biting the dust too. I wonder if I can quickly get all the Sumioni trophies today and delete that as well...

I'm still so freakin' pissed that Sony didn't have enough 32gb cards at launch to go around. They were fully stocked within a week or two. ><
