Because he's a hot head.
Didn't Blake investigate a body earlier in the film, that had washed up around the same place? Not 100% though.
You are correct.
Because he's a hot head.

How did Blake knew where to find Gordon on the sewers?
Watched the BD last night and my wife asked me that, I didn't knew the answer lols, considering the dude who said to Bane that it was like a Maze down there.
Can't remember that part at all.
Oh well thanks, you guys are great.
Kid had a lot of hinched which turned outto be conveniently right all the time; seriously this character alone had me mentally check out of the film very early on because I could just visualize how he was written on paper to simply serve as a plot device. That scene where he approaches Bruce and put together that he was Batman has forever turned Nolan and Goyer names i'll likely hate hearing for a good while.
"You're eyes, you're lonely; i'm lonely, i'm an orphan so....OMG YOU'RE BATMAN AMIRITE?!"
It's really fashionable to to beat up on these film now, but history will be very kind to them. In the same way that Lucas changed SciFi blockbusters forever Nolan has changed super hero/comic book movies forever. Sorry haters, but that's just the way it's gonna pan out. The Bale voice, Ledger's Joker et al are rightfully part of our culture now.

Respectfully, I disagree completely. I think as more time goes by, these films will degrade in many people's eyes as they, like me, point out the absurdities in these films.
I used to be a nutcase about TDK, loved it. Then the questions popped up...why would the cop stand IN the room guarding Joker and not outside the locked door? Why would Joker's escape be contingent on knowing that a cop would hand him a phone while holding a hostage?Things like that began to take away my suspension of disbelief for a trilogy whose very foundation is that here are how these characters would live and breathe in a relatable, grounded and real world.
When you have that foundation set and actions and choices these characters make don't make sense, you have films that now have an identity crisis. Am I suppose to take these seriously or not? and I honest to god, do not have that answer to that question anymore.
When I turn on, just for comparison's sake, Burton's films, you know on the first scene, that this is a comic book movie first and foremost and that fun and comicy book stuff is about to unfold. That's the foundation; so when you have Keaten nail a brooding character and have these great moments, it takes you by surprise despite the fact that a few minutes later, Prince's song is about to blast through a boombox in a musuem.
The Dark Knight Trilogy's culture impact and place in history is set now. Unless Nolan comes back and does another sequel or starts doing new cuts of the movies, it's done. The idea that it's place in history will be affected by things like "Why was that cop in the room?!? LOL!" is god damn absurd.
Nolan ain't coming back for The Phantom Menace or The Hobbit, I'll eat my Nolan vest if he did.
Nolan's sequel trilogy with Blake as the Batman! He found a pile of money Bruce had hidden in the cave for him (so he could afford being Batman). The Dark Knight Returns! With the Riddler as main villain. Mark my words!![]()

"At the time I wanted to have Clayface be the one who killed Batman's parents, but now with the power of 60 FPS CGI 4D we can make that happen finally."
Damn you Scullllliiiiiiiiiiii!
I rarely, if at all, see any references to these movies and most people I know are divided on these films.
Just off the top of my head, there were 3 pop songs in the last 12 months that quoted TDK lol.
And I know I know, WOM with your friends is poor.
Don't forget other directors using Nolan's Batman films as inspiration.

Chalk it up to Robin's detective skills.Kid had a lot of hunches that turned outto be conveniently right all the time; seriously this character alone had me mentally check out of the film very early on because I could just visualize how he was written on paper to simply serve as a plot device. Guys, I'm making a blockbuster action movie where my villain gets caught on purpose in the middle of the movie and gets interrogated.
(and no, I'm not saying Nolan invented it, but you damn well know it's not a coincidence that it's happening so much now after TDK)
It was pretty funny when bloggers like Devin Faraci were holding Avengers up as the change in comic book movies and how dark and serious comic book movies were dead, and then Iron Man 3's trailer was pretty much The Iron Man Rises.

Quotes? Just curious.
Sam Mendes said:In terms of what [Nolan] achieved, specifically ‘The Dark Knight,’ the second movie, what it achieved, which is something exceptional. It was a game changer for everybody...
That did help give me the confidence to take this movie in directions that, without ‘The Dark Knight,’ might not have been possible. Because also, people go, ‘Wow, that’s pretty dark,’ but then you can point to ‘Dark Knight’ and go ‘Look at that – that’s a darker movie, and it took in a gazillion dollars!’ That’s very helpful. There’s also that thing – it’s clearly possible to make a dark movie that people want to see."
Rupert Wyatt said:I referenced it all the time during the making of Apes, in terms of my hopes for people understanding the idea was to make a film that really dealt with our world.
I never thought about any of this. lolWhy does Batman let that family get mugged at the beginning of the film?
Why do people party with The Joker at the parade despite them knowing he's a killer and he has poisoned the city?
Why didn't the cops how up at the parade to arrest The Joker?

Just goes to show that if you wanna be a dick about any movie, you can. Especially in this genre.
Batman '89 was pretty serious, which made it stand out. It just has natural 80's cheese.Yeah lol. Well, at least that one wasn't trying to take itself serious. The movie is not that good anyways.
Which is a damn shame. It was pretty funny when bloggers like Devin Faraci were holding Avengers up as the change in comic book movies and how dark and serious comic book movies were dead, and then Iron Man 3's trailer was pretty much The Iron Man Rises.
Spot on! Nolan's trilogy wants me to believe (or does it?) that his characters can exist in the real world. Burton's film had a different approach and vision. I can watch the Burton films with my bullshit goggles on. With that said, those actors knew how to balance those characters and instill both fun and seriousness into them.
Outside of Joker becoming Joker by falling into a vat of chemicals, Batman '89 embraces realism almost to the same extent anyway. Returns was a little out there though.Your issue was with gaps in logic (e.g. why would Stephens stay in the cell with Joker?), what does style have to do with that? Why would you be more accepting of logic problems in Burton's films just because they're more fantasy stylized?
lmao. You're getting good at this.If the world truly came to an end tomorrow, I would spend my last few hours watching this trilogy. What a way to go.
THIS THREAD NEEDS AN ENEMA
Which is a damn shame.
The Avengers is how the most comic booky movies should be done.
i lol'd
How about we all just accept that these movies are the greatest trilogy ever made, and end this farce of a thread.

I can not think of one that is better.
How about The Godfather, for starters? Each of the first two films alone is greater than the entire Nolan trilogy combined.

The Godfather even with it's weaker part III is miles away better.
Godfather III and cousin fucking automatically disqualify the Godfather trilogy. Try again.
Joke post?
Joke post?
Part III is better than TDKR. Even with Sofia.
Joke poster?
Any sane fucking human knows The Godfather shits on Nolans trilogy from great heights.
