Read:

Avengers 2: Still setup and I feel like the next few issues still will be. But it looks really pretty.

Hawkeye 6: Loving it still, glad I bought into the GAF hype on this.

Indestructible Hulk 2: Not much happened, but I enjoyed the interaction between Banner and Stark and seeing Banner made to look as smart or smarter than Stark was nice.

Captain America 2: Went way away from where I thought it would go. Even didn't mind Romita Jr's art so much.

All New X-Men 4: It was good, but I just don't get excited by the X-Men that much anymore. Will probably drop.

Still need to read FF 2 and Saga 8.

Marvel NOW is impressing me for the most part. Probably going to bite on Thor thanks to the good word of mouth on here.

I still have hope for SAGA, but right now it works better as a concept than in practice.

Francavilla clowned the competition in Black Beetle #0. No one should be talking about DC or Marvel compared to this. Well, maybe Hawkeye since it's flawless and without flaws.

-#600, big anniversary issue, 100 pages, a fun essentially 3-issue size lead story by Slott/Romita Jr of Spidey vs Doc Ock, etc

-#611, Joe Kelly-written, Eric Canete's high energy cartoony artwork is perfect for this Deadpool vs Spider-Man issue. It's frantic, it's hilarious, and it ends with Spidey vs DP in a "Yo Mama" joke contest with a bunch of kids going "Ooooh" at all the lines. For real

-#615-616, "Keemia's Castle", Sandman-story. Charming, bittersweet Spidey story with awesome Javier Paulido artwork

-#617, 625, a two-part Rhino story essentially, the best one not named "Flowers for Rhino". A great read, even if you can see where it's inevitably heading. Kelly/Fiamura

-#618-620, Mysteriso, a Slott/Martin joint. No spoilers, but it's a three part story that gets better as it goes along until it's great finale, all with amazing Martin artwork.

-#630-633, "Shed", by Wells/Bachalo. One of the darkest Spidey stories I've ever read, but also one of the best. If you're willing to rule with the punches, this might be the best story in the run.

Deadpool issue, the Rhino issues, the Shed arc and Grim Hunt are on my buy list.

Edit: nice list Viewtiful

Thank you both for the recommendations. Vewtiful, you get extra special bonus points for referencing Flowers for Rhino.

Man New Guardians was SO GOOD this month. I wish they would have made Kyle's Last Airbender quest the basis of this book from the beginning instead of cramming it into the last few months and having all the Third Army nonsense interrupting it.

Green Lantern was ok. Simon Baz is kinda ZZZzzz and Third Army isn't helping this book at all. At least the fuzz finally believes he's innocent. Now recharge that ring and do something interesting!

Batwoman stunk. 2 pages of JHWIII art and no actual Batwoman. Maybe some people out there care about Maggie's backstory. I am not such a person.

Wonder Woman was great, as always. I love how all Wonder Woman's siblings have way more ridiculous powers than she does. Hera and Zola shipper for life!

ANXM was ok. Nothing really happened this issue and Bendis loaded the book up with a more 2 page spreads that can't justify being 2 page spreads. Downward trend noted.

Hawkeye. Another perfect issue. Aja's art is.. it just doesn't make any sense how good it is.

Barely put a dent in my pile. As loaded as this week was for releases, I'm assuming next week (being 5th week and day after Xmas?) is going to be lighter on stuff? I'm gonna need the extra week to catch up with everything.

WOO!

Drink & Draw tonight.

My people.

Doing a sketch card exchange with a guy on another forum.

He drew Man-Elephant, I drew Rocket Racoon.

I'm going to start a Man-Elephant sketch card collection! :3

Captain America #2: It's like Captain America got suddenly teleported to Jack Kirby's Apokolips, and he's fighting his way out. It's intriguing and bewildering, and Romita Jr/Dean White do a damn fine job bringing it to life. I like it.

This describes it perfectly. I had zero expectation for it but so far its amazing.

Good week. Hawkeye is great, I can't believe DC have managed to reboot Wonder Woman to be an enjoyable book and TF: More Than Meets The Eye is still the best book on nobody's pull list (sob).

Now that it's finished, I'd like to read The Boys, but individual volumes are pricey for their pagecount. Anyone know if there is any kind of omnibus edition either out there, or planned?

You're the biggest Legion fan I know, what's your thoughts on Giffen coming back?

Cautiously optimistic. Giffen is a master world builder, so if he's able to co-plot, it could be really special.

Plus the man who put out The Heckler gets as many chances from me as he asks for. :)

Indestructible Hulk #2 was great, Tony going to the bathroom and having to look into the mirror and tell himself he is still rich was great.

I'm gonna give the book another shot when he comes aboard, I have not been able to get into New 52 Legion at all

In my wildest dreams, the Hickman-written Legion would be drawn by none other than Chris Samnee:

Oh, and this version of the Legion would be lead by Superboy:

finished Izombie vol 2, going to buy the next two volumes i think.

Two issues into Incredible Hulk Aaron and i'm fairly sure i'm going to sell my OHC after i finish and buy Stay Angry short arc whenever it's on sale at comixology. Not really liking the book so far, it's okay though.

I get how this reflects poorly on DC

But folks should be more happy that they took fan feedback/fallout to heart instead of ignoring it!

Don't give a damn about Batgirl, but in the seemingly continuous battle between DC editorial and their creators, any defeat for editorial is good news.

^^^^ Imaginary comics will work! Congrats!

Non-related, MDCU subs are now 30% off with code Holiday12, but for new subscribers only which is dumb and marvel wants me to have to make a new account? They offered me 15% off to rejoin under my current account.... Deal is good until Dec 31st.
