Giantbomb GOTY 2012 Thread: Videos, Top 10's, and podcasts lots and lots of podcasts.

Patrick's growing anger and disbelief as the DLC explains the entire plot of the series - so that it's not sprung on you with no details in the last five minutes of the final game - is priceless.

Why don't they ever post the podcasts on the main page? It seems like a pretty major part of their content for GOTY.

Oh man that video...I wonder if it's going to be an office parody everyday or a different show each day?
Either way, that was the best episode of the office in years.

Jeff is not holding back, dang.
"I think 'disgust' is the right word.
"Oh, we'll let him have it.

Patrick's excitement over the x-files quip was my same reaction when Ryan said it, haha
That tackle... oh brother
Holy crap!
The head exploding hahahahahahaha

Filibuster or not, I refuse to believe that with most of the staff being so overwhelmingly negative about Mass Effect 3 that it can possibly be #1. There's literally no way.

It's childish.

These game journalists think they're just entitled to an ending that makes sense and critical plot information to be in the actual game and not DLC released seven month after the game came out.

It's probably #8. Remember what Jeff and Brad said on the last bombcast?

It's childish.

No, it's totally spot-on. BioWare sliced important plot out of the game to sell on the side (From Ashes), then created $10 DLC to explain something that should have been in the game in the first place out of pure reaction.

Good on Patrick for being the adult in the room to point out the irresponsibility on BW's side and not be a child who goes "yeah but it's a shiny infodump so that excuses the dozens of problems!"

it's 8, they said as much on the podcast last week.

And jesus tap dancing christmas what is wrong with Brad? is it just a case of "I played this most recent, BEST GAME"

Mass effect 3 was a good game. I agree with brad. Game was a ton of fun. Ending was meh. But other than that I loved the game

Just realized the irony with my avatar

Oh wow, I spoke too soon. Just finished the Day 1 recap and Jeff nailed my feelings: Gross. Leviathan is such a painfully reactionary DLC.

Sorry Brad, but you're a paid critic, you shouldn't be rewarding such sloppy and retroactive storytelling regardless of how much you enjoyed it in-the-moment.

How can u say the game wasn't fun? The combat was great!

A lot of the combat (most of the Cerberus encounters, every Geth fight) was great.

The rest was awful. Funneling you down a narrow corridor while hordes of bullet sponges rushed you and blew off most of your shields and health if you were out of cover for less than a second. Even Mass Effect 2 wasn't that whack-a-mole.

The way Patrick speaks on this makes it hard for me to care about what he says.

People thinking mass effect 2 was any different is crazy with combat or story.

I'm rolling my eyes at some of you so hard right now. You could at least wait till my top 10 goes up and listen to what I had to say about it. Or, no, I guess you can't.

To the others asking where's the love, I actually came in here to say glad you like the videos, and hopefully the weeks of spare content were worth it.

Right now ME3 is my GOTY too Brad, so don't feel alone.

Wasn't a fan of The Office parody, but maybe they'll do Breaking Bad to make up for it.

Any Walking Dead spoilers in the first day of podcasts? I'm actually playing through it right now.

BRAD! Have you played Super Mario Galaxy yet?

I am glad he's not catering it up to anyone and will just say his opinion based on what he played and not on what should have been, others say, etc.
