Giantbomb GOTY 2012 Thread: Videos, Top 10's, and podcasts lots and lots of podcasts.

The fact that they dismissed Clementine that easily seems crazy to me. Especially after playing all 5 episodes it should be really clear that she is not merely a plot device. And badly written? Excuse me? Has anyone experienced some video game writing recently? Most child characters on TV or in movies don't even come close.

Loved today's video, and props to them for seeding
the rapman stuff early with the beta site,

I can understand Brad's pride in the episode. Really solid
reportering from him, and he really sold the part. Patrick's interview, Jeff's rapman, and Ryan's deadly serious on-the-street stuff was gold. I have to say, I'm really bummed Vinny hasn't made an appearance yet,
but this has all been spectacular.


Pretty much agree with or completely got their picks for the categories today, but I'll probably be taking that back when I hear the nominees.
 
Justin McElroy top 10 is horrible and not for the games he picked.

Friend of the Site! does a cameo top ten and can't even be bothered to write more then a sentence or two about each game, and maybe that would excusable if it was something meaningful but wtf is:

You don't know what to tell us? Then why are you writing this? You think people are interested in gaining no insight into why you like the game? I've never really given two shits about mcelroy one way or another, but I do find reading people's top tens interesting, you know, when they actually right something. I am embarrassed to see that on GB, and I'm just a reader. I wonder how the staff feels (they probably don't care).

Maybe he's busy writing for his own site this time of year, but his piece just reads like he felt the whole thing was a waste of time. Why even do it at that point?

Wow, Brad Shoemaker would make a great actual reporter (or he would sound like an actual reporter). Brad, use those CBS connections man and hook yourself up!

LOL, I'm just watching the first video and my sides hurt already (not even got to the podcasts yet). I love you guys! (That includes you Brad :P)
 
I've not watched today's video yet (and I'm saving all podcasts until after I've finished the heavily-discussed games).

Yesterday's video had the group sitting around discussing a game in very spoilerific details (as they should). Before I get settled in, can I get a heads-up on what today's group video focuses on after the set-up production? (Feel free to spoiler tag if it's a case of hiding a GB member's #1 GOTY.) My assumption is that the group sitting won't hold back (on whatever game is the focus) and I'll hold off on watching if it's one I care about playing unsullied.
