Film is a visual medium.
Avengers story is like the lamest thing every. In fact it's dumb. Dialogue is horrible unless you like stupid witty retorts and shit load of exposition.
Captain America's character arch in Avengers:

you really find dialogue more important than cinematography? having both is great, but I'd much prefer amazing cinematography over dialogue seeing as film is primarily a visual medium.
that's just me though.

EDIT: Seriously though, Avengers has some god awful dialogue and one-liners. Whedon somehow dazzled me beyond his Whedonisms the first time I saw it.
Anybody else catch this in 3D before the Hobbit? The underwater footage looked pretty great, especially for a converted film.
I'm currently working my way through Birthright... great stuff.
I love how they portrayed Lex and I hope that they take this route in the second film. Really enjoying Clark's flashback showing their relationship in Smallville and how the world's smartest man can't put 1+1 together because of his ego.

The Bat was fucking awesome, you joker. TDK's helicopter was fine too, but none of his films are CGI-heavy.
