Here is the 50/50 2014 thread
Last year, GAFs BenjaminBirdie started this challenge and invited GAF to participate.
Since I didn't meet my goal this year with only 12 books finished, I wanted to try the challenge again in 2013 and since there is no new thread yet, I thought I'd start the new one.
On paper it's as easy as it gets. Try to read 50 new books and watch 50 new movies in 2013. Movies and Books you have watched before don't count. Weekly Comics don't count either, but I wouldn't rule out comics per se - depends on the case.
I will try to update the OP as often as possible. When you update your progress, try to post it in this format (took it from Ashes1396 posts in the old thread) to keep it easy for me to search and copy:

EDIT: For people asking what the exact rules are: We used the ruleset from http://www.fiftyfifty.me/ last year and I'd like to use it next/this year too.
Feel free to adjust the rules for your personal challenges, but I will only update the 50/50 participants in the OP. It seems like only three people from the 2012 thread cracked the challenge and to keep it somewhat comparable, I'd like to keep the same format.
Edit2: I'll try to put everybody who already made an update up front.
And last but not least: Important! Please make a new post each time you update your list, it keeps the updating process way easier for me
