'When you lose you're a can, when you win you're unstoppable' mentality has never been stronger. JDS's was a 'one trick pony' was he was smashing fools on his way to the title and him losing this fight had nothing to do with his skill set. It was the gas tank which took a battering and effectively put him out of the fight as Cain's pace WAS FUCKING RELENTLESS. For a heavyweight to go as hard and aggresively as Cain for 5 rounds is quite something.
Feel bad for JDS.
Cain vs Overeem will go the same way as this fight apart from Overeem will gas even harder and doesn't have a granite chin to see him through.

Never implied that. Styles make fights. Overeem has similar strengths to Dos Santos with shite cardio and chin. He always has the chance of a flash ko like JDS vs Cain 1 but sense should prevail that Cain could essentially replicate the gameplan used yesterday and almost certaintly win that fight.

The only fight I called right, was Garcia losing by split decision... and the judges gifted me that one. Ho hum. Cain down right embarrassed my boy Junior. Junior showed amazing heart, and I do have to wonder how much that first round took out of him, because he seemed to recover somewhat as the fight went on, but I'm not sure that wasn't more to do with Cain starting to slow down in the third.
Fortunately I've got nothing against Cain, because he might not be going anywhere for a while. Still, who knows. It's not like anyone has ever held onto the heavyweight belt for long.
Alan's stupidity and stubbornness finally caught up with him. Three times he sacrificed top position to go for that guillotine. Every time ended the same way with him trapped underneath being pounded on. He should either have tried to pound or got back to his feet. I'm pretty sure his corner told him to stop going for it... but such is Alan. Normally it wins him fights. Last night? Not so much.

That ko was as legit as JDS's first ko of Cain.
Cain would have been choked out or Uberknee'd unconscious if he tried that same strategy with the Reem. Unlike Junior 2 Cans, Overeem has a good ground game and won't be a fish out of water if the fight happens to go there.

I think you're being a bit unfair to JDS. When he wasn't gasping for air he was defending takedowns or getting back to his feet. Even in the fifth round he was quickly working back to his feet. JDS wasn't a fish out of water, aside from the whole 'couldn't get enough oxygen' thing.
