The 2 games I had GAME order for me instore yesterday (Darksiders II: LE and Street Fighter X Tekken) both turned up today!

That's less than a 24hr turnaround!

They had sod all in stock, but signs everywhere saying "Can't find what you want? Ask the staff and they'll order it for you"

They just order directly from the online store and filled it with info from my bonus card. It's a handy way of spending those gift cards when they have nothing in stock.

Annoying that you can't seem to order things from Shopto on backorder with Paypal. I thought you could do deferred payments with that.

Of course it has. But it wouldn't matter for GOTY, because the stuff is on disc, which means it will work anywhere. It's not a code.

but I have to warn you: GOTY is full of bullcrap trophies. Would take months to get 100% and U3 multiplayer is lame. Some of those are even 100% luck based. For example the treasure drop crap. I played through all coop adventure missions on hardest difficulty maybe 20-30 times. Did I get even one of the drops? Nope. I'm happy that I didn't give Naughty Dog extra money for this turd.

Bad karma. What are some developers thinking anyway when they come up with these kinds of trophies. They´re supposed to extend the fun in the game and a offer a little extra challenge, right? But some are just so incredibly stupid.

In the Uncharted games I found the whole treasure thing pretty uninspired and unrewarding to begin with.

Uncharted 3 Coop Adventure on Crushing is ultra hard, especially the air-port. Beating it once is quite an accomplishment, but the treasure drop rate is completely broken. You get treasures for hard on crushing - all the time. It's like 1 or 2% chance or something. Totally broken and they don't fix it. It's not fun doing the same over and over especially on Crushing - it's a nightmare to get competent players - just to get a small chance to get some virtual treasure. One of those trophies requires you to get all treasures, which is insane by itself. If the drop rate wasn't that small, it would be fine - but the drop rate even seems to decrease for the last few missing treasures. Content-wise most of the DLC are maps from Uncharted 2 + the stupid trophies and a few skins - that's basically it.

Pre-owned from Blockbuster Marketplace. Bought these before Christmas when it was more expensive. My copy of Jak & Daxter came with a corner of the case broke off, so watch out.

I've received a few unplayably-scratched games from BB marketplace before. Just had to send back Spec Ops: The Line because it wouldn't load.
I'm pretty sure the games are never checked, and might even be ones withdrawn from hire because of complaints about failure to load.

Still: they are CHEAP.
 
Found Wii Sports Resort with the Motion Plus adaptor for a fiver today in House of Fraiser. They also had a CCPro for a tenner in their bargain bin.

Obviously finding games are not for them and are shifting any stock but I'm guessing they only dealt with Wii and maybe DS stuff. May be the place to find something cheap since no one thinks to look there.

Sorry guys. But I guess it's a good buy for those that have a US 3DS.

That said, Devil Survivor 2 on DS is just under £16, but has a shipping charge, so probably just under £20. I know DS games aren't locked, so that could still be a decent buy since we're still waiting for that over here, too.

I think it's starting to be too late for regular DS releases so there might be a chance they cancel it. They announced the release almost a year ago so I'm pretty sick of waiting at this point. That said I imported this from PA.

Yeah, I did know it's on its way over, but not sure if it's even got a fixed release date yet, and would it launch at £20? At least you can get the US version for £20 right now with Play Asia.
