Agent can't open doors because he has a genetic condition that doesn't allow him to pass through archways that contain a door unless someone else opens that door first.

Also a door killed his father.

Last week I got Bayonetta and Vanquish in preparation for Metal Gear Rising. I don't know if either of them will actually "prepare" me but I did want to check out Platinum's other stuff as a die hard Metal Gear fan. I finished Bayonetta yesterday and I really enjoyed it, despite being bad at it (My final ranking was Bronze, Normal difficulty). I'm about an hour into Vanquish now and I'm digging it too.

Yeah. I was like that with Dead Space. There were times when I fucking despised that game, but for some reason I couldn't stop playing the damn thing. It didn't help that for half the game I didn't realise you got ammo if you destroyed certain boxes. Obviously you get ammo if you open boxes, but there are certain boxes that you have to destroy to get it. That just made it a little harder for myself.

My friend has Dark Souls on PS3, so I have had a brief play of the game. I am aware what I have in store for me. :/

Bayonetta and Vanquish are both great games. I think Platinum have been one of the better Japanese developers this generation. It just seems like a lot of Japanese developers have been really struggling to get to grips with the HD era. In a lot of ways they seem to be stuck in the past.
