Good morning everyone. Back at work, unfortunately.

Couple of things from the past conversations...

Thanks everyone for the sympathies for Sumo. Its appreciated.

Assassin's Creed 3 (I just started, still haven't gotten control of Conner) seems fun yet almost broken to me. I'm not sure I like how they changed the combat. I dont feel like a complete bad ass anymore like I did with Ezio. I used to take great pleasure in surrounding myself with 20 guards and not having to worry at all about dying because I was so fluid with the combat. Now it feels hampered with every counter simply throwing the person behind Haytham. I just hope it gets better...

Accents. I can do a fairly good Scottish brogue and I've fooled people into thinking I'm Russian, although my British slips a bit.

Beer. I'm currently brewing an Irish Red Ale in my basement. I cant wait to try my first concoction.

Well I haven't started Brotherhood, so haven't bought AC3 yet. I've heard the game has many bugs. The one good thing is they at least bothered to do a proper PC version this time. I've been too busy playing Borderlands 2 to even think of playing Brotherhood.

I have to say I didn't recognise you in that avatar at first.

I haven't played AC3 yet but my time with the AC2 trilogy has soured me a bit on the series. Although I have to say, AC3: Lib on the Vita was very surprising and I'd LOVE to play more games in that series.

I took a break after AC2 for that reason. I played AC1 & 2 back-to-back. I felt after finishing 2 that it would be too much to go straight on to Brotherhood. Hopefully it will feel fresh again once I get around to playing it.

Brotherhood is my favorite one. I had the most fun with that one and then the hot mess that is Revelations came around.

Sleep well tonight.

I will if people would stop calling featheredkittens phone at 3 AM! FUCK THOSE PEOPLE.

Someone, two nights in a row, has called her phone at 3:30 AM and woken me the fuck up.

Her ring tone is that of the TARDIS landing, so you can imagine the confusion.

This morning whoever called me last night texted me to go fuck myself, so there's that.

Oh. A lot of people say the 2nd game is the best one. That is at least reassuring to me. I did actually play a little bit of it before getting Borderlands 2. I played mainly the start of the game where you have to use that cannon against the oncoming army. It does quite literally start where you left off.

I did wonder actually what new abilities you would get in Brotherhood. The little I played of it, it seemed like you retained pretty much all the abilities you had in 2.

Yeah. I have heard that. You get other assassin's to kill people for you. Is that the only new ability though?

I think this is the one where Ezio gets a crossbow which really makes rooftop traversal fun. Running across, tag Y(triangle) and launch a silent arrow at a rooftop guard and keep on running and no one is the wiser.

They also revamped combat to be more offensive. You can go on the attack and string together kills a lot easier than you could in II. Once you break the defense of a guard and kill him, you can push the direction of another guard and press attack and kill him... then continue chaining kills this way until you're either out of reach, out of guards or someone blocks your advances. Really fun way to fell like a master assassin.

That sounds like it makes the combat more fluid. The combat in 2 was certainly an improvement over the 1st game, but I could see where it could be improved further. They have supposedly refined it even more in 3.

I will eventually get around to playing once I have finished Borderlands 2.

I still need to finish Borderlands 2. I got Zer0 up to level 23ish and then got distracted by other games.

I only play Borderlands 2 when a friend is around here, which is rarely. Haven't beaten the main game nor even leveled up to level 20 :\

Which sucks because I love it. The Hyperion theme is super badass.

lol

You got the game at launch as well right? I'm on 24 now, so not so far ahead of you. I have to say though, I started playing the game at around 5pm one day, and never finished playing until 3am in the morning (lol). I looked at the clock and wondered, "where has all the time gone?". I've mentioned before about the save system in that game. It's not really like a proper save. You can't go backwards in the game at all. One problem I have with it is, when you quit the game and start it back up again, it puts you at the quick travel station. in some missions, that can be quite far away, so it means you have to go through everything again as enemies tend to respawn. So I just play through missions right to the end. If it's quite a difficult mission, it can be a while before you finish it.

It is also enjoyable though, and that is part of the reason.

Achievement Unlocked: Making People Uncomfortable

I must be weird, because I think your avatar looks fine, haha :)

Oh god that sounds awful man.

My wisdom teeth experience was:
1. Was fully conscious during my surgery, had 11 shots on anesthetic pumped into my gums.
2. Felt them cutting my gums open and cracking my teeth but with minimal pain. Was really surreal.
3. Blood pooled up in my mouth on the drive home and when I got out of the car my head tilted too much.....blood spilled out of my numb mouth and all over my shirt.
4. Took the percocet they gave me and felt quite goooooood for a few days :P. Extraordinary pain that first night though.

I fought against my nurse when I woke up for some reason @_@

I took some vicodin for pain last week (really messed up my ankle and then took the wife and kids on a 3 hour roundtrip to play in the snow, not smart). All it did was give me nightmares.

I get the same thing (nightmares) whenever I take a strong painkiller. Not sure why that happens though...

lol

I'm in the same boat. :(

I got the game at launch, and have two characters around 14 and 15.

I LOVE the game, it's in my top five of 2012, but just can't get around to completing it.

Might have something to do with the fact that you refuse to co-op with people who offer.

Excuse me while I queue up my next 3am text.

:lol

I want to though! I want to Co-Op with you all night Dave. Just you and me and the vast swaths of destruction.

It'll be magical.

These days my enthusiasm for playing games has decreased, but for some reason, I can't stop playing the game. Some of the missions in the game are really fun. It also has that Diablo element to it with loot. You're always looking for the next interesting weapon. The game is also absolutely beautiful. I have the game playing on maximum settings on my PC and the game looks really beautiful at times. The level design in each area is amazing.

marrec... killed all conversation on this thread. Way to go, buddy.

I know right!?

Apparently showing appreciation for a British made horror flick that has not aged very well is a conversation killer.

Damn, might as well start talking about oiled up naked dude wrestling again.

A fool proof plan.

I see people were talking about DOTA. I have a few keys in my inventory, if anybody here doesn't have one and wants one or wants to give it to a friend or something, shoot me a PM with your steam name and I'll give it to you.
