I'm guessing there might be a DS -> 3DS transfer app. I know there's one game in Japan (forgot which one, Love Plus maybe...?) that has a similar app to transfer data between it's DS and 3DS releases.

no, and people really shouldn't expect these games to look a ton better. this is close to how it's going to look, Game Freak are not really that great with 3D. their strength is the art.

The battles and pokemon look good, but the engine of the rest is shamefull. No art can hide that.

I'm sure the 3DS can do way more then this.

Probbaly not, but its their first 3D title either and i should be easier to improve 3D assets and objects down the road since expectations will be higher on 3DS. They waited so long for the switch to 3D and now everyone is watching. Battles already seem to look quite good - they should have time to improve the overworld graphics and animations.

The graphics are fine for the art style. The geometry is really good on the models and the effects are fine. I like that the art is trying to look like a GBA game but in full 3D. The textures are Last Gen: My Lack Of Filtering Is Fucked Up So I Got to Pixelate/Warp On You II: It's Straight-Up DS Time, but that should change closer to release.

Radiant Historia or Dragon Quest IX. Pretty similar to this (maybe this one have better lighting, but that's about it).
