damn!

I'm not getting the love for Fennekin. It looks so plain in comparison to the others and worse, almost kind of snarky. ~_~

I've been thinking, and maybe it's been said before: I wonder if the reason we're seeing such great delays to bringing Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing over West is because the majority of Nintendo's localization teams are putting most of their work towards translating X and Y to achieve a worldwide release. Just a thought...

I think The Pokemon Company is handling translation now. They wouldn't really have anything to do with Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem.

I'm actually shocked at how well the starters are designed this gen (except for that neopet thing in the middle). They easily beat out most of the other starters.

what the hell happened 3rd gen? They look really off...

Is it weird that the first thing I thought of instinctively with X and Y were chromosomes? As if the (X)X version would have a female main character and the (X)Y version a male (I immediately understood it would be stupid to have the choice hard-coded into the game version, of course).

Any news on when we get to see more?

Earliest will be when Corocoro leaks between the 11th and the 15th, probably. We'll probably get heights, weights & classifications of the Pokemon then. The Official Japanese (and probably International) sites will update then, or at least I imagine. I honestly don't expect a whole lot of new info this time, just a recap. The length of time between announcement of the actual games lead-in to release is longer than it was with Black & White by about 3 months.

I wonder how many days will be between the international releases?

Grass:
Chespin > Bulbasaur > Chikorita > Snivy > Treecko > Turtwig

Water:
Oshawott > Totodile > Froakie > Squirtle > Mudkip > Piplup

Fire:
Torchic > Charmander > Fennekin > Chimchar > Cyndaquil > Tepig

I = 14
II = 10
III = 10
IV = 5
V = 10
VI = 14

So: I = VI > II = III = V > IV

I've never done one of these before, lol.

The RSE art is next in line for an update after what Sugimori did to revamp the Gen I/II designs. He did those starter illustrations nearly a decade ago for the original Gen III games—he was also transitioning away from an earlier art-style to the slicker one he uses today.
