I know a some folks here like Marvel but don't visit the OT thread, so I'm posting this here; if you hate Marvel, cool - I'm not asking for anyone's support who wouldn't want to buy the game, I just want to be sure everyone knows what's up:
Sven at Capcom USA has recently said that our voices have been heard at Capcom, but that he thinks that Marvel needs convincing. He suggested three Twitter accounts that need to receive some love:

From my experience Chris G and Jimmy P used to go to 8bit & up sessions during the Vanilla MVC3 days every Sunday for a while. I played against him and Jimmy every time I went.

CJ is trying to set up a MM but Yipes isn't having it. He says he doesn't see him as a threat. Then he says he needs to beat someone else to get to him. Then he says he doesn't like how CJ approached him even though he was respectful this time. The least he could do is say he'd play him at the tournament they are both at.

That's a very unpopular opinion here in the weekly thread.
Yipes should just play CJ 15-0 his ass then laugh at him. It's not like CJ needs the money, and Yipes can use some extra dough.
I don't agree on Marvel but ok. AE champ gets that free; far better fundamentals and more game knowledge. Champ could be the best in North America in if Marvel wasn't out.

I've never lost a tournament winner bet so far. 100% for EVO and SF25th. Champ's gonna win APEX and SCR. I wouldn't be surprised if ChrisG lost to someone before grand finals, depending on who entered.

They're desperate to play him in long casual sets in hopes that they'll finally be able to figure him out, however Chris G has no incentive to potentially make his competition harder to beat given he already has the EC on lock. The issue with going to events to fight him is that they need to pay Chris G/Henry Cen even more money.
Isn't that all down to luck though? Were you expecting Champ to get utterly annihilated at Seasons beatings for some reason?

Well, were the MTG guys trying to profit from it? Or maybe Hasbro has one stance on MTG, but another one on MLP. So long as the devs/Evo aren't trying to make money from it, it looks like FiM is in the clear:

I can't comment on Chris G not being at the HOC since I don't know the full details, but if you are someone that wants to be the best and play the best, then you go to where the best are at instead of expecting them to come to you. It's not the same with FChamp or Alioune coming through because they are visiting and want to play as much as possible.
