It's both the music, the lyrics and the vocals, that I find lacking compared to some others. It's overtly simplistic, repetitive, and I don't really like what lies beneath it all either. Truth be told, I've always found Burzum to be one of the most overrated bands in the genre.

that's how I feel about Darkthrone

Darkthrone's lyrics certainly weren't lacking during the first albums, nor the music simplistic and repetitive. Their later releases are shit however.
