You're right--it probably started out as something relatively harmless, then escalated just to cover up the initial lie once the lights got bright. I'm sure there's a lot more to this than Deadspin reported, and honestly the details got a bit fuzzy to me the further I read. Pretty convoluted tale.

There's no oversigning or inertia bias (bias towards the current "champion") in the NFL officiating. Everyone is treated evenly, which means that Manti will be able to play HIS game. Unlike what happened when we played Alabama and whipped them in pretty much every facet of the game except for scoring.
