I will give you all my favourite chocolate chip cookie recipe for now
Chewy chewy and delicious.
2 sticks of unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups of bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips.
1. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Pour into a large mixing bowl and add both sugars. Using electric beater, cream butter and sugars together on medium speed until mixture looks like thin peanut butter (about 3-5 minutes).
3. Add egg, yolk, vanilla and milk and mix until well combined. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture in parts until well combined. Dough should look like peanut butter. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Allow to chill for at least an hour in fridge (make sure to put plastic wrap over the bowl!).
5. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment/wax paper.
6. Scoop cookies (I use about a tablespoon) onto sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, checking after 5 minutes. Rotate the pan when checking to give cookies even browning.
7. Allow to cool on pan for 5-10 minutes and then transfer to wire rack and set up the next batch!
Cookies will store in an airtight container for quite a few days, but they're so delicious you probably won't need to store them.
And with that, good night everyone!
