Sugimori version is the best, but I like them all. Gives the illusion (and to a small extent allusion) that pokemon can have different sizes and shapes... just like real animals.

I think he means Stage 1 and Stage 2 in the TCG sense (ie: Basic == Stage 0). At least, I hope so.

Agree, but I fear that says more about the other fire final forms than Charizard itself.

I'm really pinning my hopes on Fennekin to turn the tides. If it ends up even half as awesome as Ninetales, I'll be pleased.
