Loving Persona 4 Golden with the fast forward cutscene button lol. Also don't remember there being night time exploration before. Being able to see what other people did on a day is great too and seeing so many people enter the TV on non-rainy days is pretty funny.

That's a Golden feature :D

my general thing is enter the tv the first day of a new quest... complete everything in that single day and then just do everything else i want to do until the next time I need to go to a dungeon lol

Bless. This is what I always advised ppl to do. You are truly a gift Zulu :)

That's pretty much what is recommended to do,
except for December's dungeon.
For that if you beat it then you just skip to 12/24..

Got my Sly Cooper pre-order set on Amazon. I had to support this game coming at this price point and with cross buy. All vita owners should at least pre-order it to show the support to the platform.

I could preorder but I would cancel before it ships so i don't see the point o.O;

I still need to play through my sly hd collection.

But how does the Wario kno?

edit: eww, terrible first post. Buy P4G and Stranger's Wrath HD.

He... uh... hears things.

Been screwing around with remote play tonight.

Finished SotC on hard and then tried out Tokyo Jungle for the first time. Both work on Vita well. I was impressed.

Need help: I tried to copy over FFIX and God Eater from PS3 to Vita and got error messages saying content cant be copied. What gives? The games are in bubble form, I was able to copy Peace Walker fine a day ago. Is it cuz PS Store is down?

hmmm... how much free space do you have and is your vita account the account FFIX and God Eater were purchased on?

I've got the P4G depression. Finished the game earlier this week and now I have no desire to dig into my backlog. Hope this feeling goes away soon...

Also want to say thanks to everyone in this thread since it is one of the reasons (and good ole r/vita on reddit) I finally saw the light and purchased a Vita on black friday (one of the many who scored the amazon deal) and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Only problem is I keep buying games and stuffing them into the backlog (first world problems).

Is this upcoming PSN sale something to get excited about or will getting hyped just lead to disappointment? (more speculation than anything I suppose)

PSN ID: Fresh8142 add me I need Vitafriends!

when it comes to sales it's always best to assume the only stuff that will be on sale is stuff you don't want, and the stuff you do want that will be on sale won't be on sale enough :P

personally I can't think of many ps vita games I would want to buy on sale, but I would love it if the sale included some ps1 classics. It won't happen though because things I want rarely ever go on sale on the psn :P

You people play this outside your house how? Battery dies after like 2 hours lol.
Depends on how much the game demands from the hardware. I can get five or six hours on the Vita with something like Persona 4 Golden, but get less than three playing Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

I could really use some deep discounts on PSP games. I (originally) bought this Vita to primarily use as a PSP, because I'd skipped that system, and to this day the only one I have is P3P. >_<

I underestimated my reluctance to spend more than like 10-15 bucks on download games, it seems.

I'm hoping for deeper PSN price cuts on PSP games too. I've got 9 PSP games and I want a 10th one to fill up the page. That empty slot is killing me.

There have been many sales on PSP games and a lot of them are under the $15 threshold already. You should take another look.

Well, reading this thread gives me hope that the Vita is flourishing. Will be buying it in 2 weeks or so.

Question though; Should I get the 3G version or just the one with Wifi?

I'll have a look in the morning, pretty beat right now. In the meantime, feel free to throw some recommendations my way! I'm mainly interested in RPGs and puzzlers.

Just get a wifi version unless you can somehow find a 3G deal for cheaper. It's really not worth it otherwise.

EDIT:

For Vita, there's nothing really worthwhile as far as RPGs go excluding Persona 4 Golden (obviously).

As for PSP RPGs, it gets quite broader. There are the Ys games, Persona 3 Portable, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Half Minute Hero, and Fate/Extra (although I wasn't quite a fan of this), just to name a few off the top of my head. Some quick searching reveals that there's an entire thread dedicated to recommending PSP RPGs on Vitas though, so check that out if you want.

unless you are made of money and desperately need a GPS I would just go for the wifi one, the 3g doesn't add nearly enough for the extra cost per month if you want to make use of the 3g. It's not like you can use 3g to play most of the games online.

Disgaea 3 is awesome :(

The sale could be nothing but PSP games and PS1 classics and I'd be a happy camper. If nothing comes of the sale then I'll just start grabbing the PS1 games on my radar since most of those are pretty reasonably priced as it stands.

Can you even play asynchronous online multiplayer games (like Uncharted: Fight For Fortune) over 3G? I haven't tried that myself.

Oh yeah, I know there are tons. What I meant specifically was things in my stingy price range, haha :P

Ah, right. Disgaea 3. I forgot about it. Still, two good games does not a solid RPG library make. Which is why I'm hoping for Ys Celceta to get announced for localization soon.

we should have dragon's crown later this year, that will help... but yeah not saying disgaea 3 and persona 4 make a great rpg library.... just sad to see people repeatedly ignoring it, and as a fan of the series I must raise awareness every chance I get :P
it was enough to get me to buy a vita though :P

Most Atlus game are under $15.
Crush is/was $2.50.
No Heroes Allowed is $10 or less.

There's a lot more, but those are just off the top of my head.

If you mean sub-twenty dollars, there's not a lot of Vita or PSP RPGs that fit within that price range. That said, Atlus drops the price on the Persona games regularly, so it might just be a matter of waiting for a sale.

That all said, the Vita's PS1 library is actually remarkable cheap. There are a great deal of absolutely classic RPGs including Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Grandia, and all the Final Fantasies games releases on the platform and they're all pretty cheap - either seven or ten dollars.

A lot of the Capcom games are $10 or less.

UGnG
SFA3
Darkstalkers
Powerstone
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
Capcom Classics Remixed
Capcom Classics Reloaded

Also there's Dracula X Chronicles for $15

Was trying to download the Fire Emblem demo on my 3DS, got an error in the middle of it and have to turn off the whole system before I can try again. I remember now why I haven't touched this PoS in months. It even had a think layer of dust on it when I picked it up.

I keep meaning to go back to Persona but EDF is too good. ♥

Is Sony releasing retail cards of the Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Rush, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Hot Shots Golf 6 Demos? i know japan loves ps2-esque hardware but come on guys

Edit: Nevermind, it appears to be a promo for new Vita buyers. The other games I mentioned are just trailers too. I'd say Sony should just include the demo on all Vitas sold, but lol memory cards.

Hot damn, thanks for the reminder! JSR HD was one thing; might need to continue this Dreamcast nostalgia trip!

This reminds me...

Has anyone here put serious time into games that can be rough on buttons like fighting games and Ninja Gaiden? I am worried about wearing down the buttons in a couple of months from just playing fighting games, lol.
I surprised myself by getting the 5 hours in offline mode trophy in UMvC3 the other day, without even realising I'd spent all that time exclusively in Mission mode, getting my muscle memory acquired to the Vita.

Sure, it's 'only' 5 hours, but I couldn't be happier with the experience so far.
I'd recommend trying to accustom yourself to the d-pad for fighting games (seeing as other genres don't use it so much). It's actually pretty damn good for a handheld d-pad.

Yeah I always try and finish it all on the first rainy day since there doesn't seem much else to do on those days other than eating that super meal at Aiya.

Anyways, seeing what other people did that day is so great. I can't help but be swayed by peer pressure too so I always follow the most popular choice.

Feel like buying P3P right now so I'll be ready to marathon it after Persona 4.

it just dawned on me - you can't install games from your retail cart can you? you have to have the cart in to play it? right?

god. makes me want to go 1000000% digital only.

Mostly digital + big (size) games on retail ftw.

Eg 32Gb card + MGS collection retail = effective 36GB storage

Is there a way to blind navigate to remote play? I don't use it enough to have remote start on but I'd like to be able to access it without turning on the TV.

Completed Chapter 1 of Jet Set Radio, woohoo!

There's just one thing that frustrates me though; when bumping into another skater, you're k.o for 1/2 seconds. But the A.I. doesn't have that problem. Kinda cheap and irritating during races in small area's :(

Hacked again!

god I hope not

they mentioned when talking about the NA psn website coming that they wanted to bring auto downloads from the web store to the ps3, perhaps this is that and it's going to launch with the NA store, and they are running into some troubles...
see happy thoughts, they are better than hacked again thoughts,

though given I don't play much online, I totally wouldn't mind a new welcome back package >.>;
