The thing that bothered me about the layton games was that I loved the first one because it was sort of Sherlock Holmesian where there wasn't really anything supernatural going on. There was a logical explanation. Of course there was a fantasy element but it wasn't "LOL magic did it." With the second one it sort of felt they had lost that bit of it.

Honestly I thought the Layton series was going to be like this. I've only seen the movie, but after seeing it I thought it was just terrible. Things just made no sense at all.
I dunno, in a way that's kind of the fun for me.
I kind of love seeing the outlandish stuff haha. 2 and 3 were the best for that haha. By the end I was like "Really? REALLY? WHO THOUGHT OF THIS THIS IS AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS". It's awesome haha.
However, I'm liking the slightly down to earth Miracle Mask too.

I like that Layton is ridiculous. As if the first one wasn't ridiculous
I just thought the puzzles weren't enjoyable. If they weren't VERY easy then they were explained poorly. There were only a few I enjoyed.
it was a town completely filled with robots, come on. It might be the least ridiculous in the series, but ridiculous still.

Haha I'm not that great at puzzles so they're not too easy for me. I've had fun with a bunch of them though (I like working out the liar puzzles and there was one I did the other night about where six people worked that I really liked).
And yeah there are a few that aren't explained very well.

I always like the way you think.
When I first opened it up I felt like a caveman using a computer. "WHAT THIS DO?? RAAAAWR." But after watching a few tutorials I think I'm getting the hang of it. There sure are a lot of different options though. Sometimes I get lost.

Update on that hookup thing I mentioned a few pages back: my friend is trying seriously hard to get me to hang out with him for the weekend so I can meet this mystery girl that I have apparently already met. The catch is that we would have to go to a Furry convention since he has to be there for work-related stuff.
