I did some reenactment fighting a few years ago, and on a few shows we were hired for some guys from our group did show fighting with flaming swords/shields. If what they're using in the video is anything near what we used they are ridiculously heavy (and obviously on fire). They're only really good for flashy showy stuff like huge, heavy swings because of their weight and the fire, but those guys in the video tried to use them more like you would with normal weapons, which makes it look awkward and very unsafe. I mean, at one point the samurai dude was very close to stabbing the other guy in the face, something you do not want with a several kilos heavy flaming weapon.
