Don't get me wrong. Her economics give her character, but I think they are a bit too heavily emphasized.

Saw the first episode of Maoyuu. Short impression:
Well, fighting against the industrial complex of war in a medieval swords and sorcery setting certainly is a gripping premise, and a very promising one at that. The art is beautiful, the voice acting is great, the characters seem likable enough, the romance is sprinkled throughout at just the right time and in perfect proportions, the comedic timing is excellent (that memory-showing gizmo bringing up the "Demon King" practicing kissing the hero cracked me up), and the music carries the atmosphere quite well. I hope it holds up well throughout its run, because we've got the makings of a classic here. A nice change from the crap the anime world is constantly flooded with nowadays.
