$50 is a fucking lot.

For the amount of content it's worth it, but yeah. It's a port, should have been priced 30. Hopefully GMG has a sweet deal for y'alls. Can't imagine playing it without 3D though, ghosting aside, it's pretty damn nice seeing Jill's butt in 3D :D

The gif is awesome. The game is really good, but I don't feel the need to double-dip on PS3 for 50. Sorry, Capcom.

Ah, the news, as you can see, it's already on Famitsu's site

This is the official confirmation it isn't the scoop Famitsu is teasing for this week's issue.

A game's quality is measured by which plattform it was released on? That's bullshit. I put 40 hours into the 3DS version, that's more than enough to charge 50$ for.

The problem in this case is not that it was a 3DS game, but that it's offering not enough for a year old port.
games are expensive enough as it is. When a game has a handheld game budget, came out 1-2 years ago and is still $50, it hurts. The game isn't that great either.

I'm always amazed when I see a video game consumer advocate for higher prices out of some sort of emotional defense for the game.

Still gotta say the price is kinda high here.
Ill grab whatever is on sale first. Nice to see a PC and Wii U release as well.
However just makes no vita release burn even more.

I remember when Capcom tried to sell the 3DS game for $50, arguing that it was a console-quality game in handheld form. They backpedaled on the decision before release, but it seems they intend to get their $50 after all.

What the fuck? I'm saying that the price is too high. It's amazing how many people frequent message boards despite clearly not being able to read.

What I'm arguing is the specific reason why I think the price is too high. Not because it once was a 3DS game -- a great game is a great game despite its plattform and RE:R is easily as good as the last numbered entries in its series -- but because it's a late port that's not offering enough new content to convince.

I was going to buy a 3DS for this game someday but now I don't have to. I'm glad I didn't read any spoilers so maybe day 1 PS3. I wish there was a Vita version for cross saving and RE on the go. Maybe one day.

This'll be my first time through the game. 50 is a good bit much for a port of a year old game, especially so when the OG version can be found for cheap. I'm just going to wait for it to come down to about 50% off on Steam/GMG for parity~, which will probably happen pretty fast, given the kind of port it is/PC DD economy.

Problem solved.

Given they're releasing this on Wii U, and how "well" late ports have sold on that platform I struggle to see how they couldn't have justified a Vita version as well. Then again, $50 for a years old port of a $40 3DS deserves a bigger "Fuck you Capcom!" than usual.

Maybe they're reading GAF and seeing all those people posting how much fun they're having with the system made them think that the Vita market is oversaturated.
