Ni No Kuni Collector's Edition for EU/NA [failure level well beyond critical mass]

As more and more time goes on, the less hope I have that my "Packing Slip Created" order will go through. I haven't gotten a cancellation email [yet], and I did order on August 22nd [these things were made to order...right!?], but with so many having their tracking information updated, and shipping emails sent out, I'm really losing hope.

Online shopping should not be this stressful. I purchase the majority of my items online, this includes Internationally. I order things from Japan all of the time [mostly PVC figures] and I've never experienced anything like this whole Digital River disaster. Once I was given the wrong tracking information/number but it was easily fixed in the matter of a day or so. The fact that they've had just under SIX MONTHS [bolded for emphasis] to get things in order and still fail...well, I really don't know what to say.

The funny thing is, just the other day I was debating pre-ordering the Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Collector's Edition [with figures] from Namco Bandai's store. I am so incredibly thankful I decided against it. This is the one, only, and last time I deal with anything Digital River-related. The amount of aggravation and worry surrounding this is completely unnecessary.

Most of us got our money back within a couple days, though.
 
I've spent more time responding in here and refreshing my UPS tracking than I have playing the regular edition today. As I've said before, at this point, I just want it done, whether they're shipping it or not... I just want to know.

Sort of, but Ni no Starter/Kickstarters in general are the absolute only way to get it while eBay is just ripping you off completely.

Just wondering but does anyone else have a number under their name in their UPS tracking info?

Mines do, my bf's doesn't. His was shipped out, and shows that it's on it's way to him. Mine has a tracking number, and still shows that it will arrive to me on Friday, but it's not in transit like his.

The "SOLD OUT" refers to the item name which was changed to SOLD OUT -insert Wizard's Edition name here-. Everyone's says that, even people who had theirs shipped.

Good luck on a CE guide as well. I just had bestbuy cancel my order that I placed today

Ended up having to go through a 3rd part on amazon. But with my luck with this game, I wouldn't be surprised if that fell through as well...
 
Well, I'm done worrying about this for the day/night. I'm going to go to bed, sleep for 5-6 hours, and hope that when I wake up I have my shipping email waiting for me in my inbox telling me that the package is on its way.

At least, that's the ideal outcome. I have a feeling things won't be that easy...
 
Some people got screwed for sure. I ordered at 2pm est on the 17th, and have a charge on my card, and no cancellation email in my inbox or junk folder. Definitely looks like they used some method beyond first in first out. Kinda glad I was busy when they first went up now. I ordered with one week shipping, so no label yet. Hopefully mine actually comes.

You don't know for certain. As I mentioned, this could be exactly like the Virtue's Last Reward with Pre Order Bonus items, for those that pre ordered it before amazon was offering the watch.

Unlikely, but possible.

Also funny to use the 20 dollar off coupon on that. lol.
 
I received my shipping notice but without any tracking number yesterday.

I'm not entirely even sure how I got one. I think the card I used last year expired in December and none of my active cards are yet reflecting a corresponding charge.
 
Fuck this. I paid in July via PayPal, so they have had my money since July.

And still no word.

What number do I call and what do I say to get this handled?
 
whut, why is the game showing as in stock? -_-; fail. Unsure if I want to try ordering another copy now since it seems like the people who ordered last got theirs shipped first :/ I haven't gotten any emails at all regarding my first order though
 
Meh, I said I was done with them, but ordered again through that link just to fuck with them. If they send it great, if not I put it on my card this time, so I won't have any issues getting my money back.

edit: Brand new order now has the exact same status as the 1/17 order. We'll see.

No cancellation email for me yet... My confirmation email from Jan 17 is from 9:59am - I had an account pre-made and swapped the Ni No Kuni product ID into a "add to cart" link from another item and got it that way. Apparently it's going to be delivered tomorrow before 3pm but I can't get home till the evening.

Hopefully DR sorts this nonsense out for everyone else... I have a buddy who ordered one too but I haven't heard whether his got cancelled. He ordered 15+ mins after I did.
 
I love how it lets you order whatever number you want... Way to add checks and balances to actually stick to your own store limit, DR.
 
I feel like I should post about my experience calling them but there was nothing very useful to take away from it. To be honest, the rep I had on didn't speak the best English and contradicted himself a lot.

I'd received a cancellation e-mail and at first he seemed to imply that that was definitive, but after looking something up he basically told me to just wait and see if I receive a shipping notice in the next 24 hours and that it was a "50/50" chance and he had no way of telling me more than that.

I was on hold for 70 minutes, as well.
 
I'm wondering if any of the orders through the new link will go through. If it is really a backup link for those who ordered early, but had something happen.
 
That rage on bamco facebook page lol. I hope BBB and media will tear bamco ass.

It is strange. Price changing depending on all staff in my cart.

I can add up to 228 copies of WE. So I think this is their back-stock.

Something else worth noting:

The WE I ordered from 1-17 now shows up as the "Sold Out! Wizard's Edition" under the title when I click on order status.

The second order I placed last night via the link that surfaced on here just shows up as "Wizard's Edition!" and the order is in process.

So, it would seem that may very well be the reserve stock, and the URL was just stumbled upon.

Either way, I just want one of the two.
