Just got a confirmation email saying my order has shipped. Since I confirmed that there's no brokerage fees, I decided to splurge a bit more and ordered the guide off of Amazon.

There's mistakes in charging, it's if they keep it while not delivering that they open themselves up I'd imagine.

Yeah not likely. The only people who really care are the people who got screwed. I doubt many people who received their shipping confirmations even check this thread anymore.

I got my shipping confirmation but I am subscribe to this thread and will continue to check. I care what happens even if it does not directly affect me.

Boxed Shipment doesn't mean it is in a box and ready to ship. It was say Boxed Shipment since you ordered. It just mean it is a physical product and not a digital purchase.

Yes and yes. If you haven't received a shipping confirmation email nor is a tracking label created for your WE on the UPS site then I would expect your WE to be cancelled. I'm in the same boat (haven't received any email one way or the other, but I don't have high hopes).

If you called and were told your order was canceled, what does it say online? Still in process?

From what I could tell from previous posts about that, yeah. The website won't actually update your product's cancellation right away, it'll take 24-48 hours. Oh, and it will probably take longer for them to refund our money. :/

I forgot, did anyone have shipping labels made only for the orders to be canned anyway? I kind of expect that from DR at this point.

I almost expect to get a free standard edition, at the very least. This has caused me to miss out on getting one of the pre-order bonuses on a more reputable site (you know, more reputable than the actual site of the company selling me the game...).

When I say I expect it, it more or less means that I might demand it. Even if it does no good. One of the reasons I'm so annoyed with this is the fact that I was not only charged twice (the first time it said the payment didn't go through, but it did and so I had to call to get it cancelled and to get my refund) but I am also out of that money until I get the refund. Money that could be put to much better use.

Then will see what happens when they get your money and not deliver anything, because surely i miss 120$ from my account right now, whch BTW is no small ammount

JRPG gaming has become such a frsutration :), forst Ni no Kuni DS with the 2D art never comes to US, then Bravely Default is Japan only, now this

Maybe it is time i move on from JRPGs, they dont seem to favour me

I am so glad Lost Odyssey was picked by MS, at least we got that one properly

Sometimes i wish xbox was the only console around, so all games came to US

As I prepared to check my email, my heart went into overdrive. I heard the "chime" that I had "New Mail", but I was afraid to check to see what it was about. Internally I struggled. Could it finally be the shipping confirmation from Digital River? I mean, I did pre-order back in August, so I should have been guaranteed one, right? But then, there are reports of people such as myself not getting confirmation, so what makes me any different/special? Regardless, I took a deep breath and opened the Inbox...

...and it was a shipping confirmation [Canada]! Relief overwhelmed me and I was at ease. However, it did not last. While I am happy to see that it's finally on its way to me [although I still won't feel 100% safe until I'm physically holding it in my hands], I can't help but feel sorrow for those still waiting for their official response. The way this whole situation was handled was absolutely horrible. I'm not necessarily talking only about the delay in shipment. If they were to ship it one, two, or even three days after release, that's fine. Things happen. What I am upset about is the general lack of communication and the red-tape we had to cut to update ourselves on our own orders [something DR should have been emailing/updating us on]. There shouldn't be this much confusion with online commerce. I won't even go into the whole "overselling" and "cancelling after one credit card error" ordeals.

I really do hope those in the waiting end up receiving theirs. I'll keep a close eye on this thread and I sincerely hope that the end-result for you all is a positive one [even if the path to get there is littered with shards of broken glass].

Ordered during the initial restock on the 17th, around 2:30pm(est). Got the cancellation email yesterday, and managed to get an order in on the possible restock around 3am this morning. Both are still set as order in process on the Namco website, and neither brings any results when I look up the reference numbers on UPS. I'm starting to think it might be time to just go and get a regular copy.

I'd actually be more relieved if they did charge my card, they haven't even done THAT for me yet.

You can confirm yourself:

Give UPS a call: 1-800-742-5877
Option 3 is for their brokerage inquiries, they'll ask for your order number and you can check with them to see if the brokerage fees were covered. A lot of users here have called and confirmed that there is no brokerage fees. Obviously that doesn't mean brokerage fees are covered for everyone but there hasn't been someone claiming otherwise yet.

You might luck out on this one, funnily enough. A poster waaaay upthread mentioned that after the fiasco surrounding MvC3's LE, they received an extra (regular) copy of the game as an apology.

Not to be a pessimistic party pooper, but UPS still only shows a label has been created despite me getting an e-mail earlier today from DR saying my order has shipped. For the record, I ordered from California on September 1st (two-day delivery).

I did get my confirmation, but I've been in the shoes of those who haven't before, so I'm pissed off out of empathy for the folks who are getting screwed over. I hate to see people get trampled on like this with no form of reasonable recourse.

This. Mine is coming tomorrow, but I'm still really upset about this service. This could've happened to me, too.

It sucks especially for those who put off getting the standard because they thought they were getting the Wizard Edition and now probably won't so they will have a hard time finding a physical copy of the standard now since they didn't get it day one and it's selling out. There's the digital option but still. =/

But if you want the game get it. You might be sticking it to Namco Bandai by not getting it, but Level-5 made this. Should at least take them into account right?

I hope so. That's really the very absolute least thing they could possibly do to make this situation better. A $20 coupon to use DR again won't cut it.

Just now got the shipping confirmation... ordered back on the 17th just a few minutes after the onsale went live (paid via cc).

I actually don't think I'd have minded too much if I got unlucky, I really wanted the book but if it came down to it I could deal without, and with how long this has taken I'm not in a rush to play anymore anyway. I just hate how terrible this service is out of principle, waiting this long to know it got canned is absurd, especially how random and arbitrary the cancellations seem.

The actual tracking page still just says that the label has been created. But I expect it'll be handed off to UPS soon.
