keep looking guys

I wonder if Ishigaki is doing the mech designs.
Don't get my hopes up :/
And Tanaka being on board is a good thing. I mean, look at what he did for Shulk and Fiora

Whoa, where is this from?
Has there been formal confirmation that Soraya is working on X or are people just assuming as much?
She posted "Thanks for the messages to T about X", which kinda sounds to me like she is not personally working on it. No formal confirmation either way.

Sorry if this as been asked a million times but is this game SP too and not only MP?

As in can be played solo?

Thanks.

It's a Takahashi game. I very much doubt it's MP-focused. By the looks of things, it just seems like people can take up the mantle of your other party members instead of having to rely on the AI.

One day I'll have a good mac that can run this thing too many people keep talking about it like it's a gift from Miyamoto. They won't even accept the new Wind Waker because they are spoiled by Dolphin hax.

I really want the Wii U to have an official Xenoblade HD :(

Here's some examples of the game running in Dolphin with AA and the high res textures (note not 100% of the textures have been replaced). This game should look at least as good as this, if not better.

Some of the rock columns are not rocks... That looks like a building tower (center) and the base has walls and a gun turret pointing towards the water to the right

Some of those towers are just rocks others have very detailed man-made structure I will have to zoom in for more of them

EDIT: that is not a water basin looking at it in motion the Doll is way up on one of those sawtooth landmarks

RAPTOR,

we don't know.

there SEEMS to be multiplayer, but how much is needed and required and how much can be solo'd is unknowns,

also unknown is how the multiplayer works

Thanks for the answers, it just seems that this games along with the Platinum ones are tempting me in buying a WII U, this one looks so incredible that it would be a shame IMO if it was only MP.

:D

As long as I get to see more gorgeous locales a la Xenoblade, I would already be more than satisfied. This game looks to be pulling out more stops than just an HD-ified version of that, though, with Gundams and motorcycles...

What would people say if they announced this to be related not to Xenoblade, but Xenogears? Or Saga, for that matter.

yeah I am a big fan of Xenoblade and a lurker of the eyecandy in the GAF Dolphin thread so I've seen the HD packs before some even change the menu photos to HQ

Yes. At 0:55 in the trailer there is another (differently shaped) tower in the background.

I imagine a spiritual successor kind of thing, like Saga was to Gears. Although technically speaking, that was a stealth prequel.

trying to get a cap of that structure in the back you can see it is huge after that tail is cut but the frame moves on too fast

After the tail gets cut off, the trailer proceeds to the interior view of the doll. Don't see any structures. There was this tower thing when the two mechs were fighting each other, though.

Derp. Completely misread your post. :P

Oh, a "spiritual successor"? Well, like I said, either three is fine with me. :P

So I still haven't played Xenoblade yet; is this looking to be a FF12-type gambit game (which I'm under the assumption XB sorta is) or an actual action/RPG where you run around and swing a sword? Looks awesome either way. Wish they got Mitsuda though ;-\

Xenoblade has no Gambits. In fact Xenoblade's battle system is nothing like FF XII besides the 3 person battles and the fact that enemies appear on the field. It's a common misconception that they're alike when they really are not.

When the mech takes off you are so high you can barely see a natural bridge made out of the landscape far in the distance. Crazy.

I said it before, but I believe they're both the same structure, just from two different locations on the map. Pay attention to the camera direction on the minimap.
