1) January PS+ games are still available till, well, end of January, right? So until thursday I can start a PS+ sub an still grab them?

2) Is it still the case that digital and retail cards don't share a bubble/save? Already own Wipeout but if it really is in next month PS+ I would have it digitally too but wouldn't want to lose my progress.

Well, if you get PS+ then start Wipeout and have background downloads activated, it should upload your wipeout save/progress to the cloud and from there, a digital version could use it too. Just a guess from my side.

It was released in the EU last year! Yeah you can use it to grab the games and "purchase them" so they're tied to your account.

Yeah, VLR released in Japan last February, so they waited a year for it on Plus. I'd be surprised if we only got it after two months.
