Used to get both with a fair amount of regularity (in the EU at least) but I think people complained and since then we've had very few.
Yeah, PS Plus was arguably just as awesome before the instant game collection. Although retail titles were rare, they generally had a solid mix of PSN gems and classic PSOne games. Not just one either. One month in the US netted us every Resident Evil 1-3, another the entire Crash Bandicoot series. For all we know that might have expanded to PS2 games at some point (still might, of course), but now we get weekly bitching unless that week's release is a triple A retail release (that many have already played, incidentally). Still, you won't hear me complaining... much.
I'd jump ship in a heartbeat, if another console would be more appealing to me (value, exlusives, whatever). Friendlists be damned.

PS+ as pointed out a million times in this thread is not equal across all territories. EU+ and US+ are two drastically different programs.
We got dead space 2.
I'm pretty sure the only fighting games that we are missing that have come out this generation is tekken 6/tag 2 and some anime fighters.

Same thing could be said about Gold too, in fact its even worse for you in that regards. At least with + ever region gets free games (even if they are different) and every member can use the added options such as cloud saving, auto upload/download ect, but with Gold unless its the US or at a push UK you wont get 99% of the services it provides elsewhere.
I'd be happy with Knytt, which is what popped into mind when I first read Kitty.

Hell of a month of PS+ for the EU.
Seeing that has prepared me for the utter disappointment of the NA ps+ game that is coming this week. Every week I hold out hope for something good but then we get chronovolt or foosball...

Three more games I'd like to play (especially Sleeping Dogs) - my backlog is getting enormous.
The last few months I've had to delete games I've never played to make room for other games I won't be playing for quite some time.

Seeing the American PS plus updates is depressing, even though we still don't know which games will be released on february's update in SCEA, the Euros so far have gotten games like Sleeping Dogs, Vanquish, Deus Ex, Motorstorm Apocalypse, etc., none of which we have gotten so far. Either the people in charge of PS Plus in SCEE is more capable and have better taste when it comes to selecting which games should be released, or the people in charge of the SCEA side are really incompetent, considering that most of those games have the same publisher on both sides of the world like Sega and SE, or other games are first party like Motorstorm Apocalypse.

I think it's 2 different strategies. In the US they're going for discounts and more games, though not as high quality, whereas they are going for only small discounts and lesser amount of games in the EU but all of them high quality.
Whoa, I didn't realize there was a Knytt game for PSN. Awesome, will have to check that out sometime.
Looks like EU PS+ members get it for free. Lucky.

You do realize we already got Quantum Conundrum last month, along with Bioshock 2 and Rochard (which is awesome, BTW, in case anyone has yet to try it). And you do recall we got a great full retail game this month as well. It's like none of it matters.
That's where I am as well. I own everything else already.
Though I do like digital versions of games I already own.

part of it is the same issue people had when plus launched... they were trying to justify the years price based on a month alone, unable to look at the whole picture for the value of the year. The instant game collection helped remove that hurdle, but it doesn't help NA plus which repeatedly gets it's weekly content compared to the month of EU plus...
NA could get the exact same content as EU next month and I have little doubt most of the month would be spent saying how superior EU's content was/. how crappy NA plus is until the content finally completely matched each other... and even then I wouldn't be surprised to see people still say EU's content was superior that month because they didn't realize the content matched lol.
That's not to say that if you like retail games over psn games that EU's content in general hasn't been more to people's liking, but NA plus is hardly garbage compared to EU, it still offers plenty of interesting free games for less than $4.20 a month.

I would imagine that sony owns the publishing rights to folklore, but they might not be able to do anything with them given the developers of folklore are gone IIRC
Damn, i already own Lumines, Wipeout and Race Stars. Very interested in Sleeping Dogs though.
Thinking about selling my physical copies of Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Wipeout though to get a 32 GB as my 16 GB is full. If I redownloaded them, that would already be 7 more GB though :/

I asume as good as they were a year ago when I already played them. But hey, I guess maybe getting games that most enthusiast gamers have already played really is awesome! What could be next on the list of million-selling blockbuster freebies? An Assassins Creed game? Oh, I know! How abou Black Ops?! That's popular! People would celebrate Black Ops, right? Right?

A hell of a lot more than crummy arcade titles most won't even bother downloading.
I'm not sure how my example against NA getting sleeping dogs turned into you hoping for deus ex
either way if Deus Ex is that big of a game for you that you would skip the high priced new releases... you can get it for $15 shipped no problem in the USA or £7.77 shipped in the UK, it's not like it's expensive to get... at the very least it's way cheaper than DS3/sly will be and you could play it while you wait for DS3 and sly to go down in price *shrugs*

Your experience with either system totally depends on where you live. SCEE treats their customers the best out of all the other regions where as Xbox users in the US are treated the best. This is obvious as the majority of Sony GAF posts from the PAL region.
