Their behaviour is unacceptable, but what caused this exactly? It cannot have been based purely on this specific encounter for them to react so vehemently and so persistently. At one point in the video, I was wondering whether they were actually upset by this man or whether they were already heated up due to a prior incident. Perhaps they saw this man as a window to release their angst at?

Regardless, the most tragic thing about this video was where I realised these kids are going to have it tough in life.

This post feels like sarcasm, but hey. The way I see it is this. They aren't in a good state. Some minor bad thing happens and it's basically the end of the world. They let it out on someone who obviously intended to do such a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE thing.

I've seen it happen before with my friend who is like a tiny 5'4 white kid and nerdy as hell. He accidentally slightly bumped into a lady (5'10" 450lb), and immediately apologized profusely. Well she was having none of that and immediately like some kind of hawk TURNED on him. He was completely scared shitless having this woman up in his face to not fucking bump into her and she knew he did it on purpose.

It's an environment thing which is largely connected with poverty. You might grow up in certain circumstances where you need to act tough and challenge to not get stepped all over and not adjust to a different situation where that doesn't help you.
Plus if they haven't earned shit for themselves and have teenager priorities it wouldn't surprise me.

Plenty of kids come to America from Vietnam, Eastern Europe, Africa and come here, go to school and prosper. Blaming it on surroundings is an excuse. Those who come from nothing most of the time have more of a drive to succeed and become something in life.

This has more to do with American culture and how its mostly American born kids living in poor circumstances who end up dropping out of school and becoming career criminals.

Going down the street and getting a $1 double double is something Americans take for granted. I was just watching Cesar Milan a few days ago on Nat Geo explaining how when he came to America he was shocked to see two hot dogs for $1.00 when he first crossed the border from Mexico. He said that he would work as a dishwasher and no matter what he did as long as he had two hot dogs in his stomach by the end of the day he was happy considering he didn't have that back in his hometown.
