Someone needs to do that "perfect supes face" photo-merge like they did with Batman with the best Supes you know, Reeve, Reeves, Cavill and Cain

Kirk Alyn >>> Cain

Yea I went there!

lol, you got screwed by imgur.

Welling was ok some of the time. His acting is just so damn horrible though. Most of the time they could have substituted him with this plank of lumber and I doubt anyone would have noticed.

Cain is pretty low on the food chain.

Is his hair shaved on the side? ughhh I honestly stopped watching cause of him.

lol the 3rd picture. I posted that in 2006 in one of the Returns threads lol god damn what an awful suit and Superman

Cavill's Superman is perfect but it's really hard to look at that Clark Kent and not think he's a supermodel alpha male. I wonder how he'll play it. Reeve really pulled off the dweebish feel, despite his looks and build. The scene in the first one where he and Lois get mugged is pretty much my favorite Superman scene ever. SO perfect I can almost buy the glasses disguise.

The shot where Superman flies off and Clark answers the door is still incredible to this day.

I bet Cavill wont do reporter Clark until the sequel.

I really hope Cavill spins round a revolving door to get changed into Superman. Although it might not work in this day and age since they're all electric, might fuck up the motors.

So you really think it ends with a shot of him getting into the elevator at the Daily Planet putting on the glasses for the the first time like in the comic-con trailer? can't picture the movie ending like that.

I think we will see some of the reporter side, but not much.

strafer, is on a manip/photoshop binge.

There's a shot in the comic-con footage of Clark entering the Daily Planet and putting on his glasses.

I don't think it would work because it's cheesy as hell.

Why do people keep comparing to that obscure 90s tv show. Its an apples to oranges comparison

Also, Cavill is a better Clark Kent than Christian Bale was Bruce Wayne.

How anyone could argue Cain is superior to Routh, especially in terms of suit, is beyond me.

Cavill has me extremely excited, though. I really want to see more of him in action as soon as possible.

No one cares about Cain as Superman..

Plus they had like 4 different suits before sticking to one

Cain wins for his Clark which carried the show. His Superman only showed up for about 2 minutes in each episode (budget sucked back then which is why the stories focused on Lois and Clark)

Please for the love of the god can the Cain pics stop.

I don't want to see pudgeman anymore.

They need to make Clark an absolute dork when he's at the daily planet and seem unattractive, like someone else said in that picture he already looks like a super model confident and outgoing. I want to see actual acting, have him slouch, change his voice up so it sounds more nasaly, big glasses like Christopher Reeve and so on.

Just putting on glasses and changing nothing else is cheap. I think Cavill looks like the best Superman ever but I'll be disappointed if they don't get Clark right.

bad posture?

I was looking for this to describe what I meant but couldn't find it, I'd love to see if Cavill could pull something like this off. Welling and Routh were not like this at all.

I hate that concept...I want him to act normal when he is Clark, and not like some bumbling fool. I liked Superman TAS portrayal. And I want Lois to piece together Clark is Superman on her own and just keep it to herself or something. The world's best reporter not figuring out 1+1=2 is kind of idiotic.

Also, I find Teri Hatcher so damn sexy. Fuck Dean Cain though.

he doesnt necessarily need to be dorky, but I think a clear distinction needs to be made other than Superman wearing glasses.

If this is going to be a "what if Superman were really real" scenario then he needs to do a hell of a job making Clark the last person on earth people would think to be Superman

If Clark is normal then it makes the glasses disguise seem like stupid nostalgia bullshit. Clark has to be an actual separate character, someone who's the complete opposite of Superman that's the entire point and why people can't figure him out.

If Clark is a bumbling mess it makes Lois' discovery that much more significant for her, the audience has to be convinced that if they were in that situation in real life they may not be able to recognize Clark as Superman either because he's acting so well as someone else. If Superman is adonis with wings and Clark is adonis in a suit it's nowhere near as interesting.

That moment when people say 'oh shit that's gary oldman!?' from some movie is how people have to react to Clark being Superman.

I just find the whole bumbling fool thing stupid. Make him a low level reporter who is timid and lacks confidence. A behind the scenes kind of guy.

The thing you want people thinking is, no way this guy is the dude flying around metropolis and saving people. Superman stands straight with his chest pumped out with all the confidence in the world. That doesn't necessarily mean that Clark has to be dropping and tripping over shit all the time wearing big ass clothing and in general just looking like a dork.

I'd like a mix of charcterizations from Birthright and Superman TAS for Clark Kent in MOS. That way he's not a total dufus but can also not been thought of as Superman.

Clark being a dufus is so much more interesting to me, I don't know why anyone would want him to be anything else. I love seeing how far an actor can go, if Cavill is just a normal guy as Clark it's going to be boring as fuck because Superman is a normal guy too personality-wise (well not exactly but in terms of being a 'guy' he has confidence, is outgoing etc.). There will be little difference except the suit and glasses and the point is that Clark should be the complete opposite of Superman.

And Amy Adams looks nothing like Lois should look, but I'll wait and see since I think she's a good actress. But that look in the trailer... all I see is damsel in distress and that's not Lois at all, but it's only one look so I can't judge yet.

I don't know if acting like a complete goof will go well with the tone they're going for here. So I'm really interested to see how they're going to do this.

Reeve made the glasses disguise almost believable. Intellectually I knew there's no way Lois wouldn't know who he was, but on film I never questioned it or thought about it, he was just that good in both roles and it was written so well. I see that Cavill picture with the glasses, and I'm like, come on. The similarity will be even more glaring in a movie that's certainly going to play it more straight. I'll wait and see though.
