Not just GAF. The average football fan will hate him just because of his hair and bleached beard. Also lets face it, all teams he is not playing for will hate him, rival fans don't like flashy players who shows off a lot much.

Didn't people loved Ronaldinho?

He isn't overhyped. And who cares about his facial hair or his pubes?

The slightly overweight bald Englishman in his 40's will think he's gay and yell homophobic stuff to him, not saying they should but... That's how it goes. People liked Ronaldinho when he played well, but lets not pretend people weren't quick to laugh as soon as it went downhill for him. When Neymar comes to Europe people will be ready and loaded for the first little mistake the new very hyped up young guy with prima donna attitudes does.

Remember when Matt Hardy disappeared and came back with that new intro video and if was like Hardy v2.0 or something?

Neymar is like that with Robinho

I think it's undeniable he's an unbelievably skilful player with an eye for goal, but whether that translates well to leagues with better defenders, better tactics and better players than him I'm not so sure.

he is young and he will learn! its not like im a fan of him but i think its too early to call him a youtube player etc.

Of course and most of that is trolling when a fanatic shows up like yesterday. :p

How old was he then? Did you never do stuff like that when you were young and immature?

It's a thing to hate on Neymar or call him overhyped.

He was 19 I think? Yeah that is way too old to act like that for a football team.

Edit : 18!

It's not!

Well I would certainly be furious at him if he did that for a club I supported. Maybe if he did it for the junior team, but a 18 year old already thinking he's bigger than the team like that? Nah, he could fuck off.

Wilshere won't go to United. He would be able to join any club in the world if he left. He won't go there.

You know what happens when gooners starts saying how a player wont leave them. :p

Stuart Brennan for the Manchester Evening news has tweeted;

"Spanish sources claiming City's Txiki Begiristain met with Neymar's agent and his father, in London, earlier in the week."

Neymar is being hyped up to extreme levels but he's not shown anything to actually warrant that hype.

There were better quality players at 21 than Neymar is now.

Wut?

He's not shown anything?

That doesn't mean much when some players bloom later than others or never reach their full potential after showing it before hitting 21.

there are some lewandowski news from the guy who came up with the pep story

- Bayern was already interested in lewandowski before they signed pep
- He said, on Jan 21st he got a confirmation that Lewandowski is going to bayern
- But Pep is going to decide if we really buy him
- He will decide it soon-ish in a first transfer talk with Hoeneß & Co.

I'm talking about hype though.

So far he's just pretty flicks and dribbles. His performances for Brazil don't warrant the hype he's getting.

Oscar was never as good as Neymar.

There's a difference between individual talent and ability to fit coherently into a team's tactics and gameplans though. Oscar is able to grasp that more than Neymar who seems to just focus on what he can do and not what he can help the team to do.

Btw I think Neymar is very talented. He has amazing control and dribbling skills. But he's wasting his time in Brazil. It's already become obvious that he's much too good for that league.

Because he's the striker?

For the first time ever Neymar talked about Bayern:

- It's a big club with great Quality
- I can see myself playing there
- There is nothing which speaks against playing there
- It's important that i feel good, and that i have a good relationship with the team
- In the end every league is intererting, also the Bundesliga

Has he never heard of Scotland? :P

Sorry, but that's a very simplistic way of looking at strikers. Being a striker is no excuse for counterproductive selfishness

Each striker has their own style. Or do they need to give assists nowadays too, to be considered good at what they do?

Considering how Gomez is regarded in here, I'd say they do...

He obviously didn't have Neymar style hype, but he's a seriously talented player. I'm just wondering how many more Oscar type players are hiding away in Brazil.

Not that much, the only two that have shown talented near Oscar's. Are Paulinho and Ganso, even though Ganso is an injury prone

Gomez injured all season.

Bayern top of league by wide margin.

Coincidence?

They don't have to be great assisters, but they should do what is best for the team. Gomez is fine because he takes the shot when he's likely to score. If he tried dribbling around 2 players and twatting one in from 30 yards when he has a player who can be passed in for a one-on-one, that'd be terrible play, regardless of his role in the team.

Look at Van Persie. He shoots when he's likely to score, and there isn't a better option. Then look at Suarez. He sometimes tries dribbling through players for no reason other than selfishness, and the same goes for Sturridge's play at Chelsea with regards to shooting.

All of them are good at what they do, but a striker in the Van Persie mould will always be better for the team, and that's all that matters tbh
