I've always thought that criticizing another's musical taste is extremely odd.

I had the displeasure of watching kings of leon live.. At least Foo Fighters wasn't that bad, although just completely forgettable and boring.
Mmm, exactly. That's the worst thing about Foo Fighters and The Killers. They're just bland. They're not good, they're not so bad you really remember. They're just boring as fuck.
Saw Foos at Reading in August and for such loud music I just can't believe how bored I was.

There's just too much subjectivity in it
Genres, technical skill, influences, rawness, production. The spectrum is too wide for one opinion to be backed up more than another.
Fims and games on the other hand, its easy to pinpoint why a game is bad/good, and why certain criticisms/compliments(?) are unfounded
For instance, I appreciate the technical skill of Jimmy Page's work with Led Zeppelin. I don't enjoy it though. If I could compare it to something in games, it'd be artstyle. Some I like, some I don't. Either way, you'd have to be an idiot to try and convince someone that their opinion of it is wrong

I share this view too, but in a few ways I feel as though I am missing something, as if I can't even explain why I like the music I do, due to a lack of musical understanding.
Holy shit, that's nutty. His actual striker stats are only above average.. how is that even possible to score so many goals?!
The Killers are definitely one of the best bands to debut in the aughts. Fantastic live too.

Lolllllllll. Don't get me wrong I got all his tapes and albums, but recently his message and Whoopi Goldberg-esque appearance are deterrents. Earlier shit > than newer stuff. I did like the experimental shit on Enemy of the State though and his last album was good for about half the album.

PSG, probably. Marginally, because Valencia have improved as the season's gone on, but yeah PSG.
I went to a festival expecting to gain enjoyment from the bands there. I didn't enjoy the band. Song writing isn't just about the lyrics, but the same fucking bland riff over and over again coupled with average lyrics just isn't my bag. Bob Dylan might play a thousand songs with the same riffs but have incredible word play. Radiohead might have some opaque lyrics sometimes but be absolutely ingenious musically. Foo Fighters just play what equates to noise in my head. If I don't enjoy it I'm perfectly entitled to call them a shit band, just the same as if you don't agree with my taste you can call it shit if you want.
Blitzed through the first season recently, enjoyed it a little. Watched 4/5 episodes of season two and its dire.
