Boehner's got a tough job tonight. He can't just listen to a speech. He's gotta decide when to clap. When not to clap. When to stand. When not to stand. He doesn't want to appear weak to members of his caucus. But he doesn't want to appear too much like a total asshole either (he's doing a good job of that though).

Cut him some slack guys. He's playing a tough game.

I would argue better middle/high school is far more important since that is when kids are most impressionable. Preschool is glorified daycare from what I remember.

There have been studies that show kids who go to pre-school are more likely to succeed. I agree High school could be better, but pre-school is a no brainer as far as investments go. All the science says the investment is returned like 200% or whatever.

Here's a tip for you: if you want to make an example that sounds like you know any semblance about the topic of which you speak, don't exaggerate. Labor isn't even the most expensive part of running a business, FYI

No, its not the most expensive, its the second most expensive after rent costs. Of course any change will impact the overall outcome. Many small businesses are just getting through now, $9 would force them to fire up somebody. Now, if you have a stable growing business... don't be a fucking prick. But for those just starting up, scraping the bottom of the barrel? This makes it harder not just to survive, but to get commercial loans granted. You need to show your business can make up for that raise of cost.

Is the new minimum wage enough to pay rent, utilities, food, and internet without government assistance or parental assistance? One of my cousins who was looking for a roommate in suburban largo md found that his retail job @ apple that paid $14 would've been nearly wiped out by rent alone in his area.

Would look better as a gif though. She was like "Motherfucker I will *end* you"
Ah, a WM NCO. Not surprised :) I pretty much had that expression too when wearing blues in large sitdowns.

Ah hell it was Gifford with the hands. I must apologize, I thought it was a Republican taking the piss earlier.

Damn Boehner literally does not give two fucks about lil' kids getting shot up by guns

edit: holy shit he got up. My bad.

As if decreasing the minimum wage or leaving it as is would encourage them to create more jobs? Why hire more employees when you can pocket more profits? Did we NOT just go through all of this with the bank bailouts? This argument just doesn't hold any water. Sometimes businesses will fail. And then others won't by finding a better business model, by making sustainable income WITHOUT being a detriment to the livelihoods of their employees. Not every business is some sacred cow that deserves to be coddled. THAT'S free market capitalism.

In a true free market the government won't set up a minimum wage and the market would correct itself*.

*If we had self decent beings which it seems we don't and try to fuck everyone in the ass. The point is your "free market" line doesn't work when the government regulates half the stuff you can do.

They also increase tax revenues lowering the deficit.

Look at how many points he has hit. Instead of focusing on 3 or 4 major reforms, he is bringing up every single talking point relating to just about every subject that is a concern for the American people. I mean there is nothing to disagree with concerning what he is saying. It is just not economically feasible in any form, and he is simply going through every issue that our country faces and pretending like we have a solution.

Edit: I mean if he could just get gay rights, gun reform, education, and renewable energy pushed forward, that would be amazing. But instead we get this BS where our President is pretending that he can fix everything and the kitchen sink. There is no honesty in this platform.

Thanks guys, good to know. Just because I don't remember shit doesn't mean it's not important. I went, it probably contributed somewhere in my life XD.
