If you haven't solo'd a double monster quest, you're still a beginner.

Are you guys creating a male or female character? This time, I think I'll go with a female.

Yeah definitely doable. If they're in regular fields like the Tundra or Sandy Plains then they're no problem. The ones in the arena are much harder but still doable.
Someone please tell me the black leather jacket + pants + eyepatch made it into this game?
I will be incredibly sad if it didnt as that was what i was rolling through most of my end game.
It is. Not sure if it's tied to the same even quests, though.

how much stuff do you have to collect to get this fully suited up?
I want to create a female character for my first MH experience
I really hate how what was once a PS2/PSP series is now stuck on the 3DS and the Wii U... they don't even have the decency to do a Vita port of MH4, even though the Vita would be the perfect console to develop MH on from a technical standpoint, and it would help the Vita succeed.
Oh well.

Having goals like this is what keeps MH fresh for me. I like working toward specific weapons and builds.
That said, the amount of materials required is not what you should be worried about. It is the drop rate for those items. The DR fairy can be cruel. You may get something awesome twice in a row and not again until 20 kills later. Its far less of an issue with online though.

In my experience (I have the full set, G rank plus the fully upgraded sword/shield) it took me 20 runs of Brachy to get everything.
However! It could take you more or less depending on your luck. I had everything ready except for the rare drop, which took me 5 runs to get. I know some people who got it on their first try, and some on their 20th try....
hell, I got TWO heavenly scales from the Rathian subspecies in one run, and that's a pretty rare item too.
20 sounds like a lot but if you're playing with others then it's not bad. If you have good teammates it'll take you about 10 - 15 min to defeat a monster. Some of the Japanese players I've cooped with can take out a Gold Rathian in about 5!
Nintendo likes to steal things.
Anyone know if the Wii U version supports off screen gamepad only play.

Around 200k in japan.
One Hundred and Eighty US DollarsI am sold on this game... but damn it comes the same day that I want NFS and Lego City Undercover![]()
That doesn't sound right. Do you mean 2 million? Or are you talking about Monster Hunter G?

oh whoops, I thought he meant TriHD. Yeah, Tri sold around 2 mil ww iirc
And Sony likes to copy things.
Are we twelve?
Edit: So why can't we trick the 3DS into playing online through local play using a computer app? Doesn't the PSP have this?
Some monsters online do have different rates. For shared stuff between variants, like rath rubies, the harder colored versions like azure and gold tend to have a tiny bit higher chance if I remember correctly.so you are rewarded for playing online with better drop rates?
how bout you just accept the 3DS is a cool console, and you buy one (if you want to play MH)

What i really meant by mentioning online is that even though multiplayer monsters tend to be tougher, rolling with a crew of three or four experienced players means you can go through double or more the amount of quests you could do by yourself in the same span of time, meaning more chances for a drop you need.
If we aren't friends on wii u yet, add me. I will be on a lot.

I wouldn't either. The guy has a point. I own a 3ds and Vita. No way in hell I'm buying for 3DS without a second analog.
And no, I'm not paying for the pad thingy.
When Bayonetta 2 was announced one if the more ridiculous posts read something like "Nintendo is stealing our games". The dude you quoted was referencing that.
Also, I have a hard time taking anyone seriously when they argue from a technical angle but start their post off fondly remembering when the series was on the PS2.
Hey Oichi have you not been posting links when you do posts on the weapons? I just randomly found that pic on the blog after I discovered there's also a series of posts for weapons.
Soooo cooool.
