I see where's he's coming from, it doesn't look lived in. I gotta say thou I'm jealous, it's beautiful, that place must be VERY expensive, considering it seems to be in central London, maybe 1 million pounds? (or maybe the flat is smaller than I think?) I live in a small flat in south London.

No kids for sure, but he did say "our" a few times in the description, so there is someone else living there, but I gotta say there is ZERO feminine touch to the place, so probably not a woman.

It's not that hard to keep it tidy with a partner when you have designed for tons of hidden away storage and get a weekly cleaner (cleaners in London are cheap, we pay ours £40/week).

Just need to develop a habit of putting stuff away whenever you don't need it. And our place definitely looks a bit messier on hangover days.

I really like it, love it actually, i'm quite envious of the place and of your being so well 'mentally organized'.

Chittagong's place is very sleek and modern, which tends to look "cold" in pictures but I'm sure is great to actually be in. Nothing about it screams "gay." (what does that even mean? Gay = clean and neat? LOL.)

I love the clean, modern designs some of the people here have. It looks so much better than the contemporary set ups others have posted and makes them look outdated. But I know that type of design isn't for everyone.

Would love to have a place like that some day. We're moving this weekend (same apartment complex, different building) and the new place has the same carpeted floors (meh) and outdated appliances that our current place does.

I really want to put my games up on a shelf on the wall. I'd put everything that's on drawers today on that shelf, and then I would use those drawers for something else.

I'd ask for help, but I don't live in the US, so whatever help you guys provide me won't be used, because I can't buy that.

I mostly see shelves that go from the wall up (like a cabinet), but I want actual wall shelves. I guess I should start looking.

Just had a reshuffle as I don't have time/funds to buy new furniture or properly decorate, I want to paint and put wood flooring down..

Anyway, I have put my gaming setup (need a much bigger TV!) and work area in the living room, using a sofa bed (for guests) as the divider. Not sure if I should make a tall wall or shelf behind the sofa bed to seal off the work area.

I've been swapping some components around lately, getting rid of excess hardware. The PS1 will likely be replaced by a Wii U soon enough, it's kind of superfluous at this point. Just recently I condensed all of my modern and retro stuff into one "unit", and have everything hooked up through HDMI, Component and S-Video. It's nice not having to switch cables around anymore. The Wii handles all of the 8/16-bit stuff as well, for those wondering.

Finally got around to taking photos after the move - there are still boxes strewn about (you can see some of them in my photos) but my basement gaming den is at least usable now, if kind of plain.

Left monitor/HDTV is connected to my downstairs 360 via matrix switch as well as the PC, so I can display either on the big (okay it's not big, it's just relatively big) HDTV or the 360 on my left monitor by flipping inputs. It also functions as a second monitor when I need to do work, or futz around while playing a PC game.

Desk is an old but sturdy dot matrix printer desk complete with slot on the right to feed 14" or so paper from a storage shelf below. I'm not a massive fan of the keyboard tray as I'd rather have the desk itself fill that gap, but I can deal with it (the desk was free and significantly more stable than my old one).

PC needs a bit more cable management but it's the first I've built completely from scratch myself.

Upstairs is utilitarian as it's mostly for kid's shows. PS3 gets used rarely for games, mostly for movies. Also, I apparently forgot to dust the front of the speakers before taking this shot, and the buffet it's sitting on is more scratched than I remember, courtesy of kids (that is also an HD-DVD player under the PS3).

I want to say SX2210 - probably long out of production. The back is a neat shape, and all white (matches my computer case if nothing else).

Nah. I adjusted quickly. Your FOV is surrounded by game graphics and is a very immersive experience...no time to think about bezels . Another sweet C3 shot from the setup:

Broadcast monitors are pretty sweet for old school games, and I think that Johnny dude used to work in something production related, so he had access to some. If it wasn't him, then it was someone else on GAF. Obviously.

The Sony models are called PVMs or BVMs. Not extremely hard to find - especially on ebay, its more the fact you'd want to find one locally to not get reamed with shipping costs.
Its without a doubt the best image you can get from SD. I have a 14" hooked up to my Famicom and it looks beautiful.
