Yeah Kanye has had no effect on the music world in the last 10 years. You are right he burst on the scene for knocking up Kim Kardashian. Kanye effectively "Nirvana'd" all the shitty try too hard Gangsta rap from the early 00s and is the reason you have guys like Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and ASAP Rocky today.
