I've spent wayyy too much time watching SimCity videos. Here's one of a guy running it on high settings. This game can be incredible looking.

Ditto. Since I have Amazon Prime, it should come the day of release. My excitement for this game keeps building the more I see footage of it. Tuesday cannot arrive soon enough.

Are the city sizes limited in SC4?

The maximum city size in SC4 was huge. Many times bigger than in SC5. However, SC4's simulation engine was not as complex.

Wow, I didn't even know Sim City was coming out so soon. The game looks great. I always get so excited about building my own city but then become overwhelmed and frustrated by trying to keep everything running smoothly. That said, I'll probably still buy the game.

Maxis have said that they are looking into increasing the city size. They first wanted to develop a "rich" simulation first, then look to expanding the size later . That may be why there is so much space between cities in a region. Eventually we can hope the size increases so that the multiple cities will border each other.
I'm content for now with the sizes given how in depth the simulation is.

Basically, to look at the progression of SC1 to SC4, then imagine that same kind of arc for this new SimCity into the future.

One of the goals would be to have the "region" be one, whole, contiguous, city.

Yep. It really looks alive in the gameplay videos. Region play will somewhat compensate for the small city grid, and I'm sure they'll increase that with an expansion. Love a good simulation game.

Sorry, no stats on that right now, but it seems to perform well on everything we've tested it on so far so I don't expect too many issues.

I didn't see that link, but yeah that's there so that's cool.
