One month from today: BioShock Infinite

I'll be getting it for PS3. Hopefully my system wont be dead by then. I basically bought a brand new TV for this damn game.

Looking forward to seeing plenty of mind melting PC pics though

Nice Andrew yeah I always worry the system won't break when a game comes out.

I'm not gonna post a link, but apparently a reviewer leaked the game already saying it's "too amazing to not let anyone play now." Can't claim validity as I'm not going to download it, but I just thought I'd mention it.

The only thing im worried about is the voice acting for foreign languages. Im from Germany and its really a pain to listen to that effortless made voice acting. I just hope there will be an option to play on English.

Please do not post that link.

Please do not post that link.

I don't plan to, it actually angers me that someone would to that, I already have my copy pre-ordered and am awaiting it's official release, I just hope justice comes down on the person who released it like this.

Reposting Ken's tweet from the weekend:

RT @hollandercooper: @IGLevine Is BioShock 2 in canon? --canon is about to have new meanings.

Chew on that for a bit.

I saw this, too. I hope BioShock 2 gets referenced in some way. I loved that game as much as the first.

People tend to prefer achievement lists be spoiler tagged.

I'm not gonna post a link, but apparently a reviewer leaked the game already saying it's "too amazing to not let anyone play now." Can't claim validity as I'm not going to download it, but I just thought I'd mention it.

The "reviewer" sounds like a piece of shit.

I don't buy this, and if it's true, fuck that guy.

A friend of mine brought up a good point. He found the same thing I did and was quick to point out several things that make it clear that it's most likely a virus or something like that. I should have seen it myself, but as I examined the comments on the site, I realized they were moderating the comments, so that's a real indicator that it's fake.

It's def not the game.

You just know its all going to be alternate universe shenanigans.

It wouldn't even surprise me if you end up in Rapture for a level.

Nice that this is still a thing. I was a little worried as it hadn't been mentioned in a while.

yeah but your reward for completing points wise is kind of weak. Kind of like the bronze trophy you would get for beating Max Payne 3 on Hardcore.

Now unless beating Infinite
on 1999
nets you some unlockables...

Im still doing it regardless.

I don't know why I don't feel very hyped for this. The first two Bioshock games were good. I'm more looking forward to RE6 on PC, is that messed up?

I don't feel hyped for this either though I have a different reason. Played Bioshock 1 a little on ps3 and thought it was neat. Later bought it during a steam sale and hated the crap out of it.

Any particular reason why? It's a pretty big jump from thinking something is neat to hating the crap out of it.

It was a 10 hour long fetch quest and the big twist that everyone and their grandmother made a big deal about did nothing but kill everything the game had going for it. The only thing that I liked about the game was the good ending.

Just watched a bunch of the stuff I've missed, including the Gamespot video. Ok, I'll admit, I'm pretty hyped.

I really love the Father statues. Washington handing over his sword like Cincinnatus, Jefferson the scholar statesman with his scroll, Franklin the scientist with the mythical key. It really gave me a good history nerd chuckle.

Possibly the most obvious statement of all time, but the gameplay so far looks like Bioshock. This is a mixed bag for me, but I'm pretty buzzed about nearly everything else.

Part of me hopes Levine gives us an ending that will piss nearly everyone off. Would be glorious.

If this ends up being something I really enjoy and old BS fans feel let down by, I'm gonna feel really weird after Tomb Raider :p

"There is no God. Religion is bullshit. Here is proof." Im thinking something along the lines of that ever since the story about the religious designer that walked out after seeing that end scene.

Probably not, but would be insane.

I'm still voting for Elizabeth to be KOS-MOS.

Seriously though, I think the religious designer thing is either PR fluff, or if real had to do with Levine initially painting a really 1-dimensional religious hatemonger antagonist.

I have a good pc but I'm thinking of getting this day 1 on 360 and buying it on pc later to enjoy the better graphics. I feel like every game I get on pc ill play for a couple days and not come back to it. Don't like sitting at my desk to play for long periods but my question is are there any impressions on the 360/ps3 performance?

If its a far cry 3 situation then ill just go pc route

This is becoming one of my most anticipated games of all time.

Has anyone from Irrational talked about PAX plans? I'd really love to have the opportunity to hit up a panel.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt just because I think he comes across as one of the more genuine personalities in the business.

When you see Levine mention it in the interview, it was meant to be more of an anecdote to him helping understand religion more since he has zero background in it. It's not like he was waving flags around like "Hey everyone, look what my game did! Buy it now! It makes people upset!".

I cant see it as bullshit. He isn't the type of guy that would pull something like that from everything Ive seen and read about him. The guy has class.

How about this for speculation (purely, don't worry, no actual spoilers here. This is straight out of my head), to fit in with Kens statements about the ending:

It's a recurring theme throughout the game that, due to her extended time in captivity, Elizabeth has very serious trust issues. This is presented to the player in various detail throughout the game until it's a prevailing theme.

Everything happens as it should, Booker and Elizabeth escape the city, and then when it's finally certain that they're both safe for good, Elizabeth kills Booker (first person perspective, facing Elizabeth and possibly with a gun pointed at you) because, even after everything they had been through, she still couldn't bring herself to trust him. Fade to black, credits roll.
