Vita ended up right in the middle of the 40k 'doomed' and 80k 'reborn'. What does that make it? I don't know what to think!

Those seem like pretty low numbers for Phantasy Star Online 2. There IS a downloadable F2P option, right?

Wii U did better than I expected by apparently stabilizing at 10k. I thought it would continue to fall (there wasn't any release this week right?). I meant that's probably the same level as the weekly sales in Europe and the US :P

Vita did pretty well. People really like anime boobies and slightly cheaper handheld consoles. We'll see how Soul Sacrifice does next week, too.
 
What are the Layton numbers like in context? I understand the series has been on a downward trend since the original, but does this beat the last one (which was a launch game iirc)?

Imo, not very good. It did slightly better than the 5th one, which was a launch game. And worse than the spin-off with Phoenix Wright. That said, I believe Layton games are pretty cheap to produce. But Level-5 has to find a new breakthrough hit as soon as possible.

I love Layton, but Layton vs AA left me with a bad taste with the series, and fulfilledy need for a Layton game at the same time.

I'll buy this one, but it's third or fourth down the list.

Happy Vita did this well, and happy the Wii I is above 10k.

Edit: Hot Shots must be due to the bundle worth about 36,000 being priced at 20,000.
 
So and so numbers for Dinasty and Layton. Very solid numbers instead for Dragon Ball and Senran Kagura.
So and so numbers for Vita considering price cut and colors and games.
Surprised by Wii U hold.
 
When and what is the next big release for the Wii U in Japan?

I wish Vita would do those kinda number on a weekly basis (hell, even monthly would be better at the moment).
 
I truly hope Layton as it is gets shelved for good after this game. The brand can continue in other forms using the character, the themes, and the art style, but it's pretty clear this cow is getting milked dry.
 
That's a pretty underwhelming result IMO. The 2 most significant releases since August, first price drop, and you really don't get a huge number.
