Congrats to Rocketbirds (excellent game) and Urban Freestyle. And it seems that is a similar case that the Vita version sold more than the PS3 version of these games.

Great to see UTF Vita outsell the PSVita version. Even though i haven't played it. Or even bought it

Finally, we get the update we've been waiting for:

3 New Courses - Mt. Sakura Country Club, Mar Cielo Golf Course, Northern Fox Country Club

3 New Characters - Erika (Intermediate), Gloria (Expert - From OOB), Kat (Expert)

Plus numerous other changes including new on-line modes and game-play tweaks.

Still waiting for this to get updated on PSN, as the courses and characters are DLC... but the game itself now has all the place holders visible.

oh fuck yes. hook it to my veins!!!

Remember this?

http://www.polygon.com/gaming/2012/...cture-game-campus-festa-vita-playstation-plus

Didn't saw that posted anywhere but yesterday all winners of the campus festa was uploaded to the JP Vita PS+ program. I was playing all of them, and a quick review of all of them.

Octalide - Octopus Infinite runner where you are escaping a giant Malboro. You can change lanes flicking the touchscreen up and down. You can accelerate passing through speed marks on the tiles. There is also tiles that reduces your speed. Incredible addictive and fun. The best of the bunch.

Eledive - Fixed screen puzzle platform (like "Where is my heart?'), every step that you take tilts the world. Tilting the world causes crates to move and create paths to go forward. You can change the orientation of the world as well (like Fez and Crush). It is nice.

VOLT - I don't understand this game very well. So I won't comment on them.

UNI UNI UNION - Very pretty and charming. 2D platformer using the back touch and touch screen to move your character. Walking with the back touch isn't that responsive. Didn't get too far.

Mou, Sou Suru Shika Nai!! - The most clever concept of all the games and the best values (Anime opening, etc). This game is Lemmings with ants. The objective is to build a path with your two fingers that touches the screen, and the ants will "climb" the first finger and climb down the second finger going forward its final destination. Anyone must have done this IRL, to carry an insect with your fingers and dropped it somewhere else. Interesting.

Can someone give me a quick one line pitch on Soul Sacrifice? I'm trying to sell a friend on it, but I'm basically describing the entire battle system, story, and why it's going to be awesome.

Might be overwhelming him.

Epiphany;

What if Sony is wanting to sell
Bigger memory cards but retail stores have stopped it because they know that digital games sell more than retail? Basically its their way of forcing us to buy physical games at the store.

Epiphany;

Don't be so paranoid ;p

But seriously, Sony wouldn't care they'd just sell them at a high price in other stores

i couldn't figure it out, so i just played through ghost of sparta with the regular controls. you get used to it. i wouldn't worry about it too much. the game was designed around that handicap.

and for those wondering, i recall it being somehting like holding L and moving the left analog stick to roll.

im all for conspiracy theories, but sony would just sell them on their official store

Can't you long press on the touch screen to bring up the Vita settings which include what to map to the right stick? I thought I had set that up in the Call of Duty PSP game.

yeah you can but the input for rolling on the psp games is l+r and move which i can't map directly. i'm not that savvy with these settings though so i was wondering if people had found a solution.

yeah i played about 45 mins of chains of olympus and it didn't ruin the game, ready at dawn seemed to do a good job compensating for it. would just be nice to have the more convenient console control setup on the vita.

that's not the problem he is having. the controls are that you hold down L (or some other button) and use the left analog stick to roll. you can't remap that.

edit: nvm

Beta for that Vita/PS3 Moba Deathmatch Village is rolling out in 4 days. Runs 3 weeks, and I the dev contacted me today whether I have a PS3 to participate, so I might get in. We'll see.

Knytt Underground will be getting a content update: http://nifflas.ni2.se/ This update adds hundreds of new rooms to the game. When it's complete, the size of the world will be 2160 rooms.

Gameplay videos over talk, I say.

Nice! Someone to talk with ;)

Any ideas on how accessible Soul Sacrifice is gonna be? Don't think I've really played a game comparable to it before and I'm a bit afraid of not understanding what I need to do or just getting lost

Trials is my most played game on the system... even as I fail I have fund watching the dude fly...

What a tease... :(

Really like the game, but they need more content. Seriously.

is it bad that I only care about this just to support gaijinworks and future support on Vita and not because the game itself?

Gonna support them with money when they releases something of my interest. Until then, I hope that CoH 2 sells enough to bring better things.

the limited edition physical edition (as in limited in number of copies not actually a collectors edition set) that will come for a digital code so I can play it on the vita was enough to catch my interest.

I never hate the idea of owning one of only a few thousand in the whole world ^^

Very fun game, I can't stop playing it.

I bought that Knytt Underground game when it was on sale a couple weeks ago, and now it's on sale for even less? Grr. I definitely enjoy the style, but the gameplay not so much. And naturally they released the demo the week after I bought it. Fuckers.

After enjoying the Japanese demo without knowing any Japanese, I'd say it's very accessible. The game keeps things very, err..."challenging", but eases you in to the action quite nicely(despite giving you a huge-ass monster to fight first). It's has very simple controls, and you don't need to memorize any complicated commands. Your objectives are explained to you before you start a "mission", so you have a good idea of what to expect (most of the time).

Hopefully we get an English demo closer to release, and you can experience this game for yourself.

http://muramasarebirth.com/

Muramasa Rebirth website updated.

itll be worth the 40$ or however much they price it.....but to me i really value it closer to 15-20$... Gamefly'd the wii version...left a bland taste in my mouth, maybe it just wasn't for me though. if you are remotely interested you should be sure to check it out.

hoping the altered controls adds to the experience....wonder if they made any other gameplay tweaks

post release demos are kinda stupid, but demo is better than no demo.

hopefully DOA5+ is not a bad port like Sigma2+

DOA5+ is a friggin fighting game. If they don't port it perfectly they are damn fools. Vita has too many perfect fighters to accept anything less.

it should help, I really wanted a jump button while playing so that should make my experience better, plus I am curious what the preorder bonus will be

Any words on a price?

indeed there was, but I will have to dig for it... I would like to say it was $25 for the digital version and $35 for the physical version but i will edit when I find it for sure.

edit: I confirmed $34.99 for the physical copy (which will come with a digital code) still digging for the digital price.
edit 2: also confirmed the $25 price for the digital version.
