I sure hope the Vita referral site gets update before the 31st. lol
As far as I can tell from the new screenshots, it's an even more perfected version of the console build.DOA5+ is a friggin fighting game. If they don't port it perfectly they are damn fools. Vita has too many perfect fighters to accept anything less.
Man, I wish I liked the DoA series
Did Tecmo Koei mention anything about the digital version having free DLC at launch?DOA5+ will be awesome. The bummer is preordering on Gamestop for the cheerleader outfits.

I posted this in the sales thread, but wanted to share with my Vitabros:
Just some anecdotal evidence, I arrived in Shinjuku last night and hit up the Softmap. Place was sold out of Vitas and Soul Sacrifice. There was a huge display with a demo of the game running. About a dozen people were glued to the TV. Will take a picture today of the Vita stuff in Shinjuku and Akihabara.
The one awesome thing about Vita in Japan is the awesome selection of cases. Going to pick up one or two tomorrow. Still debating on the silver Vita.

Looks like they've been able to include self-shadowing (INSANE) while still preserving 60fps. And the screens look native res - not even the console versions achieved native resolution.

Okay, so what's the HSG update all about?
Okay, so what's the HSG update all about?
Someone mentioned a while ago that Sony should buy MarvelousAQL if Soul Sacrifice is a success, and that's unlikely. MAQL is too big, and while Sony can buy them I'm not sure MAQL's share holders would like it. Their biggest franchises are Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory. Both of which do not sell very well on PlayStation platforms.
Well, they never tried on the PS3 and Vita. Maybe Rune Factory 4 would sold more on the Vita, seeing Senran Kagura and Demon Gaze numbers. Who knows?
Remember this?
http://www.polygon.com/gaming/2012/...cture-game-campus-festa-vita-playstation-plus
Didn't saw that posted anywhere but yesterday all winners of the campus festa was uploaded to the JP Vita PS+ program. I was playing all of them, and a quick review of all of them.
Octalide - Octopus Infinite runner where you are escaping a giant Malboro. You can change lanes flicking the touchscreen up and down. You can accelerate passing through speed marks on the tiles. There is also tiles that reduces your speed. Incredible addictive and fun. The best of the bunch.
Eledive - Fixed screen puzzle platform (like "Where is my heart?'), every step that you take tilts the world. Tilting the world causes crates to move and create paths to go forward. You can change the orientation of the world as well (like Fez and Crush). It is nice.
VOLT - I don't understand this game very well. So I won't comment on them.
UNI UNI UNION - Very pretty and charming. 2D platformer using the back touch and touch screen to move your character. Walking with the back touch isn't that responsive. Didn't get too far.
Mou, Sou Suru Shika Nai!! - The most clever concept of all the games and the best values (Anime opening, etc). This game is Lemmings with ants. The objective is to build a path with your two fingers that touches the screen, and the ants will "climb" the first finger and climb down the second finger going forward its final destination. Anyone must have done this IRL, to carry an insect with your fingers and dropped it somewhere else. Interesting.
Holy crap, I don't like fighting games that much, but......wow. Usually I prefer vita screens to be quoted for a more accurate representation but these hold up really well even blown up on my 15" laptop screen. I thought I quote your entire post just so people will have an even better representation of what it will look like on the Vita.

My post from the official thread:
Turn-based Challenge Mode now available (Asynchonous message play - Friends only. Supported on both Wi-Fi and 3G)
4-player stroke mode multiplayer rooms now available
Game Balance adjustments (Impact zone on tee shot now gives more room for error - based on impact stat)
New Visual Lobby online
*New items available (3 new courses and characters Gloria, Kat and Erika)
Changes to how you get items (?)
Real tournament award specifications changed
Daily International Tournament specifications changed
Other fixes
* Placeholders - they're not purchasable yet.
The first one is the biggie. Can't believe it's taken this long![]()
I hope so, because I'm buying it digitally. If I had to pre-order at Gamestop to get the cheerleader outfits, they can blow me. >:|
then you need to play Virtua Tennis 4, that game is pure portable sex for the eyes (native res,60fps,4xAA look great on screenshots and running Vita screen) it's just really depressing that it's a launch title and nothing to this day ( a year later) can even touch its greatness.
ooooooo baby... turn based play!! a lot of vitabros are about to get invites to matches.....glad i kept this on my vita, gotta get my skills up again though...its crazy how fast they go to shit
I'm really looking forward to SS, but good god do those ground textures look abysmal.. Do we have any kind of explanation for why this is the case? I appreciate that great looking ground isn't the most important part of a game like this, but surely something could have been done technically to make those textures at least.. you know, non-offensive?Haven't watched the vid as yet, but judging from this tweet, the ground textures don't seem to be fixed. Might be spoilery, so I'm posting a link > https://twitter.com/DJmizuhara/status/309332386284462080

Sounds like a shit place to work, thieving bastards.
:-(So I had been waiting for the HR department to talk to the VP of our company about the stolen Vita to see if he was going to rain hellfire down and get something done. Instead I get the response:
"We will not be reimbursing any stolen goods as it's not our policy, other people have had things stolen and we do not reimburse them."
So fuck that, I'll be filing a police report and will be locking my office in spite of the people who need to get in there. If nobody at my office can provide for me a modicum of security for my personal and work belongings then I'll have to inconvenience everyone for my own sake.
Nothing's turned up at local gamestops, and nobody knows anything.
What a terrible night to have a curse.
The good news is that I got my wisdom teeth taken out about 5 hours ago and feel great.
Look into Senran Kagura or Demon's Gaze. I dunno how much knowledge on Japanese is needed for DG, but I hear it's pretty good. And Senran Kagura is NSFW in a few ways, but it's really fun.Japan VitaBros,
Any recommendations of JP only vita stuff I should get here? I am getting Soul Sacrifice if I can find a copy today. Anything else that does not require knowledge of Japanese?
I thought the demo from the Japanese store was really bland and the fact that it's a PSP port really shows. Ragnarok Odyssey, as flawed as it is, is miles better IMO.Lords of Apocalypse? I had an interest in importing it before I realized my funds were not ready for the importing world...
^Much better suggestions

Sounds like it's not uncommon..
Can't install a camera in the office?
:-(
That is total bull. Any office manager or HR person who gives a reply like that obviously doesn't care at all about fostering a positive work environment. So my only advice is keep your shit locked down as if you were a tourist in Italy.
GameStop is a good idea, but also keep a lookout on Craigslist and eBay. It would be so deliciously awkward to meet up with your co-worker to "pick up" the Vita and then go all Scooby Doo on them, but more delicious than awkward![]()
Sorry to hear that.
and for all other VitaGAF,Don't take you Vita to your workplace, it always end with an on going tragedy![]()
Last December, an event coordinator on IGN's fighting game league thingy said it's in development and adds six new characters. Who knows if it's been canceled since then, though. It's too bad DOA is a terrible fighting franchise.
TTT2 where are you?!?!?!
The more I see of DoA5+, the more interested I get even though I'm trash at fighting games. GAF isn't healthy for my wallet.DOA5+ English trailer. Looks even better in motion![]()

For the localization, they better get rid of those silly looking palms. First of all, mine aren't pale-white, so that alone takes me out of the game. Second of all, they look cheesy and visually inconsistent with the rest of the UI.Skyzard said:Did you guys see the english commentary on soul sacrifice mp?
