Hi,
While the amount of investigation we have been able to do since these reports is somewhat limited, it does currently look like wazups2x and br4dders1986 are correct. In our tests, performance with TressFX and SSAA is virtually identical as it was in the previous version. There are some smaller differences that can be seen, but those are expected with the changes to the benchmark camera path, and other fixes, including the inclusion of the flare.
As these other posters have pointed out, in the previous version you never actually had SSAA on unless you explicitly _enabled_ it in the game, even if the options screen would show it as enabled. So you would have to toggle it off in the game first, then back on. That was a pretty bad bug, which is why it was fixed!
As I mentioned, there are 'bad' interactions (as in, hair is almost 4 times as expensive when you enable SSAA4x) with TressFX and SSAA, but these are not new in this latest version. This is still being looked at by the dev-team to improve this. But in the current state you can enable FXAA if SSAA is too expensive, and we are pretty sure you will have the same IQ as you did before the patch.
I hope this clarifies things.
